"Jae... min..." Jeno said quietly before busting back into tears. Jaemin rushed to hold the boy close to him, attempting to comfort him.

"Hey, hey." Jaemin whispered as he held Jeno tightly. "Let it out... it's okay..."

The two stayed like that for a while. They didn't care if someone walked past and looked at them weirdly. In that moment, Jeno needed him the most. Jeno needed Jaemin.

"Jeno, are you hungry? When you feel like it we should eat something, okay? I brought some food." Jaemin said after a while. Jeno nodded, his face resting on Jaemin's shoulder. Jaemin wrapped his arm around Jeno's shoulders and the two walked off.

Eventually, the two made it to a secluded part of the hospital. There was a small table with multiple chairs, and what would be a nice view if it wasn't for the rain.

"Here." Jaemin said as he handed Jeno his portion. "It'll be cold by now." Jaemin sighed as he opened his portion and began to eat.

However, Jeno didn't eat. He simply picked around at his food with the fork, having lost his appetite.

"Jeno, you need to eat something." Jaemin said as he held Jeno's hand that was resting on the table, gently gliding his thumb over his knuckles. "Don't make me feed you." Jaemin smiled as Jeno mustered a small laugh. Jeno eventually gave in and ate his food quietly.

The silence was broken by someone's phone ringing. Jaemin looked down to see his manager calling. He sighed and answered it.

"Hello-"

"Where are you? You haven't gone out at this time, right? You'll get sick again! I swear if you've gone out and gotten sick!" the manager yelled down the phone.

"Oh god." Jaemin whispered.

"Who is it?" Jeno said quietly.

"Manager." Jaemin replied. Jeno's eyes widened at the reply. However, one thing he knew he had to do was tell the manager, as much as he didn't want to tell anyone yet.

"Jaemin, answer me! Where are you right now! I'll call a taxi and you get home right now!"

"Um... I'm fine..." Jaemin tried to make an excuse, but failed.

"Hand me the phone." Jeno said. Jaemin looked at him confused.

"Are you sure?" Jaemin asked, still holding Jeno's hand.

"Yes." Jeno said firmly. Jaemin handed him the phone as Jeno took a deep breath in and out.

"Tell me where you are. Jaemin-"

"Sir." Jeno said firmly.

"Jeno? You're there as well? Why? Oh my god you two... I swear to god just tell me where you-"

"We're at the hospital."

"What? Why? Jeno?"

"My..." Jeno went silent. He didn't know if he wanted to tell him. Jaemin held his hand tightly, almost as a sign to tell Jeno he should do it. "My father... has passed... passed away." Jeno said quietly. There was no reply on the other side.

"I'm... I'm so sorry, Jeno." the manager said, his tone of voice changing.

"It's okay, you didn't know. I understand." Jeno said. "I think I need to stay here a little longer. I'll just call a taxi when I'm ready."

"Of- of course. I'll see you later."

"Yeah." Jeno said, hanging up. He gave the phone back to Jaemin. Jaemin held Jeno's hand tighter.

"Are... are you okay?" Jaemin asked, kissing the knuckles on Jeno's hand to calm him down a little. Tears brewed in Jeno's eyes at Jaemin's actions.

"No... no..."

And so a month passed. Jeno looked in the mirror and fixed his black suit.

"You look good in a suit." Jaemin said, placing his hand on Jeno's shoulder.

"Yeah... but I wish I didn't have to wear it at a time like this." Jeno sighed, looking into Jaemin's eyes through the mirror.

"Of course, but know he's at rest once this is over." Jaemin said calmly. Jeno nodded. He knew once today was over he would feel more at peace.

His family would all rest together, peacefully. His mother, sister, and now father would all be together again. Half of him wished he was there too, but he knew that mindset would only hurt him more. He had to keep moving forward in order to prove himself to his family.

"Jeno... we still need to go to the house afterwards." Jaemin said, moving his hand to Jeno's waist. Jeno sighed. He didn't want to go, in fact, he had put going back home so much that now he would have to go after the funeral.

"Yeah, I guess we have to." Jeno said quietly.

"Hey, it'll be fine. I'll be with you so you to comfort you." Jaemin said as he pulled Jeno into a much needed hug. "I'll be with you, till the end. I promise." he said as Jeno hugged him back.

"Thank you." Jeno said as he pulled away from Jaemin. He looked at him confused until Jeno's hands made their way to Jaemin's cheek, pulling him into a quick kiss. The two boys smiled as Jaemin kissed him back.

"It'll be okay. You can cry on me if you want to." Jaemin said as he brushed Jeno's cheeks. Jeno rolled his eyes and smiled.

"Oi, lovebirds, the car is ready." Renjun said as his hands rested on his waist. Jisung was next to him with a phone that seemed like it was recording the couple.

"How long have you been stood there..?" Jaemin asked, removing his hands from Jeno.

"Too long. You two get so lost in each other sometimes and you don't even know it." Renjun teased. Jisung smiled innocently, or as innocently as he could knowing he just recorded the couple and would use it to tease them.

"Yah! Jisung! Delete the video!" Jaemin said as he ran to take his phone.

"Hehehe just wait till the others see you have your moment." Jisung said before running off.

"Oh my god please don't fight! You'll crease the suits! They were expensive!" Renjun said as he went to break the fight.

Jeno stood there and smiled. These boys were the closest thing to family, and when they fought they felt like real siblings. He felt like he had a home. A home that wouldn't be taken away from him.
