Chapter 26: On The Move

The next morning rolled around pretty quickly, you had waken up to see Judith and R.J still sound asleep, but as you looked over to your left you saw Neagn gently rubbing Carla's back as she let out little burps.

"Mornin gorgeous." Negan looked over to you and smiled a tired smile.

"Morning to yourself. How long have you been up?" You questioned.

"Doesn't matter. I was hoping you'd get to sleep in but I guess that's out the window." He quietly said still holding Carla close to his chest.

"Me, sleep. Ha never!" You joked whilst you got up out of bed and walked over to him. You softly kissed Carla on the head and then your lips moved up to find Negan's.

"What even is the time?" You asked gently rubbing your eyes.

"It's pretty early. I heard talks of moving in about an hour. But they wanted to double check with you." Negan kissed your head as you nodded.

"Right ok, sometimes forget that I am somewhat in charge around here." You giggled as you walked back over to the bed sheets and began to get dressed. You just chucked on what you were wearing yesterday saving you from opening a bag and rummaging around for clothes.

You put on your chunky boots and placed your dads watch on. "If Judith and R.J wake up, just let them know that I'm talking with the rest on everything." You asked whilst making your way to the opening of the tent.

"Oh and one last thing, tell them to get dressed and make sure the have their things packed too." Negan nodded his head as he kissed your hand as you then walked out of the tent and made your way over to Gabriel, Rosita, Aaron and Daryl.

"Morning, we were just discussing the plan for today. We wanted to run in by you." Gabriel smiled.

"Ok cool, let's hear it then." You folded your arms trying to warm yourself up a little as it was quite chilly this morning.

"We were thinking to make a move in an hour once everyone is up and ready with their tents packed away and other stuff, we have armed people at the front, back and side of us whilst we move as we don't know what could attack us. And we should get to the hospital by tonight." Daryl said.

"Yeah, sounds like a good plan. The kids must stay on the kart at all times just incase the whisperers try to attack. We need I would say at least 4 maybe 5 adults in there with the kids?" You suggested.

"No, that's great. We'll place the food and drinks in there with them so we don't have a bunch of things to carry with us anyway." Aaron spoke up.

"If everyone's fine with this then I think we should put the bags of other things onto the other karts, and yeah that does mean only one person rides on those karts and the rest of us walk." You commented.

"I think that's what we'll do then. I'll go gather people to get the horses ready." Rosita said.

"Ok great, I'll get Judith and R.J up if they aren't already. And then I'll get Carla's bag together for the kart." You added.

"Good idea, I'll do that for Coco too." Rosita smiled as you all went your own way back towards the tents. You walked into your tent to see Judith and R.J still asleep.

"We're gonna be leaving in around an hour. So we need to gather everything up, take down the tent and what not." You looked to Negan to see him gently wrapping a blanket around Carla.

"Great, I'll start to pack things up. And if you wanna get those bad asses up we should be good to go." Negan said as he walked up behind you wrapping his arms around your stomach and kissed your neck as your back sunk into his chest.
