Chapter 10: The Storm (Part 1)

It had been around a few months or so. There was no action with Alpha and the rest of the skin freaks. Your leg was a lot better you could finally walk around and put pressure on it, but the only thing was you still had a little bit of a limp.

It was winter, and no kidding people were saying it's gonna be a harsh one. The wind was cold and bitter. A bunch of people went to the kingdom to help out as it had fallen. People from the kingdom were going to be living at hilltop now.

Michone wanted you to stay home and look after Judith and R.J and help out with Saddiq, Eugene, Rosita and Gabriel. Daryl had been back and forth from Alexandria as he'd help out here. He dropped dog off here too so you could look after him so he wouldn't be left out in the freezing cold.

You woke up to it being more cold than it was yesterday. You got out of bed and slowly headed downstairs to see Judith and R.J already up and dressed with blankets wrapped around them as they were sat on the sofa.

"Morning! Has anyone fed dog yet?" You asked as dog then got up and ran towards you.

"No, but uncle Daryl has left some of his food in the fridge." Judith turned her head to look at you.

"It's too cold. We need to warm up by a fire." Judith said as she got up from the sofa and followed you into the kitchen.

"I know, I'll speak with Gabriel and see what we all can do alright?" You grabbed Judith's hat off of the kitchen counter and placed it onto her head.

You opened the fridge to see a couple of dead squirrels. "Charming, That he's left these right in here." Your face screwed up whilst picking up the squirrels and handed them to dog.

"Right, if you wouldn't mind I'm gonna get dressed and then head straight to Rosita's and Gabriel's to talk about this situation. I want you to give Negan these blankets and this hat for me ok?" You picked up the blankets and hat and handed them to Judith.

"Sure!" Judith smiled as she took them off of you.

You then headed back upstairs and got dressed, you put on a big coat that was fluffy on the inside, a pair of baggy jeans on and your black boots on. You shoved on your hat and headed back downstairs.

"R.J, let's go to see aunt Rosita for a bit yeah!" You said trying to energise him as he looked so cold and tired.

"Yeah!" He replied back as you walked over to him and picked him up.

"See now I'm holding you, we should be warmer!" You said kissing R.J on the cheek. He smiled and giggled at you as he hugged you.

"Ok Judith, remember if you get too cold come back inside or come to Rosita's ok?" You said as you were about to leave.

"Yes I will don't worry." Judith followed you out of the house.

"Oh and tell Negan I'll be down with him soon." You said as you started to walk down the steps.

"Yep!" Judith smiled and waved to you and R.J.

You started to head towards Rosita's house. It began to snow again as the wind picked up too. Your cheeks and fingers began to sting.

"You ok little dude?" You hugged R.J tightly as you could feel him shiver. He nodded his head and you finally got to Rosita's. You knocked on her door as Gabriel opened it.

You walked in immediately as you still had hold of R.J. You then walked into the kitchen/dining room area as you saw Eugene and Rosita looking at the radios.

"Hey! How's the little peanut doing?" You announced yourself as you walked over to Rosita and carefully placed your hand on her belly. You could feel movement as it then kicked.
