Chapter 28: A Day Full Of Surprises

"HEY!" You shouted as you charged over to Ed, gripping onto Lucille tightly.

"He deserves this! He needs to die, killing our friends our family!" Ed shouted back at you grabbing everyone's attention. You heard your radio go off as someone informed the others what was going on.

You immediately whacked Lucille into Ed's side as he fell off Negan whilst his knife managed to cut Negan's cheek as blood oozed out of it. Ed stumbled back as he got himself up but you ended up pushing him over again.

"Your a piece of shit." You muttered as you punched him straight in the jaw.

"I ain't the piece of shit here." He laughed causing you to punch him again, this time harder and right in the face. You dropped Lucille and got on top of Ed as he laid there on the floor, repeatedly punching him over and over again, your knuckles feeling sore and bruised with every punch. Negan rushed over to your side as he tried pulling you off of Ed, but you shoved him away.

Suddenly you heard footsteps running towards you as hands grabbed your arms trying to pull you off, you managed to shake them off as hands then suddenly wrapped around your waist yanking you off of Ed.

"(Y/N) what the hell happened?!" Daryl huffed as you fell into his lap your back smacking against his chest, his hands still wrapped around you waist not letting you move, you saw Rosita and Gabriel rush towards Ed, as Aaron spotted you and ran over.

"He attacked Negan, he was gonna kill him." You panted.

"Jesus Christ." Aaron grabbed your hands and looked at them.

"He's not dead. Just knocked out." Rosita got up and walked over to you.

"(Y/N) what we're you thinking? You could've killed him." Aaron added.

"He was about to kill Negan, what was I supposed to do? Let him get away with it?" You groaned as you got up, Negan immediately rushed in front of you and wrapped his arms around your stomach gently hugging you from behind to calm you down. Everyone looked at one another as they took a look at Negan.

"Shit (Y/N), did you whack him with the bat?"gabriel asked as he saw the fresh blood on Ed's side.

"Yeah to get him off of Negan." You admitted.

"Well, he's infected isn't he. There's Walker blood on that bat, and it must have entered his system by now." You added.

"Shit." Rosita mumbled.

"Nah, he's at fault here." Daryl butted in causing you to look over at him.

"He attacked Negan, (Y/N) rushed in otherwise Negan would've been dead. There ain't nothing we can do for Ed. He was a piece of shit anyway." Daryl grumbled, you smiled at him as he looked at you and winked.

"So what should we do with him then?" Aaron asked.

"Leave him, the asshole had this comin." Daryl growled as he walked away. Everyone looked around and they seemed a little pissed off.

"(Y/N) you and Negan sit in a kart, patch him up as we can't afford to have another stop again." Rosita smiled as she walked away with Gabriel.

"If you need anything, just radio in for me ok?" Aaron smiled as he walked away too.

"Come on then, let's get you patched up." You turned round to face Negan to see the blood run down his cheek. You walked over to grab Lucille as you spat on Ed and walked over to a kart where you and Negan made some space and sat down.

You looked around all the different bags hoping to find the medical bag, luckily enough it was one of the first bags you grabbed. You pulled out the antiseptic and grabbed a cotton ball, soaking it with the antiseptic and gently wiping it on Negan's cut as he flinched.
