Chapter 5: "He's gone..."

It's been a few days after the whole walkers can talk situation. You and Laura kept quiet about it all and didn't tell anyone. Michone still wasn't back yet. Everything was doing well in Alexandria, you had been down to see Negan a lot too.

Gabriel had been under a lot of stress as Rosita and Eugene were hurt and they were being kept at the kingdom, he felt bad that he couldn't leave as he had to look after Negan.

You had gotten up and got dressed. You let everyone sleep in until 10 as that was the time you got up. You went to go and check in on Judith and R.J's rooms to see if they were still asleep. You checked in on R.J first, he was slowly starting to wake up.

"Hey little man" you softly spoke as you walked in and kissed him on the cheek.

He smiled as he rubbed his eyes. He sat upright in bed and you grabbed him some clothes. "Do you wanna get dressed for me? And then we can have some breakfast!" You said as you placed his clothes on his bed.

"Yes!" R.J replied as he slowly got out our bed and got dressed.

"I'm just going to check on Judith." You smiled as you walked out and pulled the door to.

You made your way over to Judith's room. You knocked on the door and opened it to see Judith fully dressed.

"Hey good morning what time did you get up?" You asked.

"About 10 minutes ago." Judith replied.

You could tell something was up with Judith she looked like she was hiding something from you.

"Do you wanna head downstairs for breakfast." You said as you then suddenly heard a knock at the door.

"I'll get it!" Judith's body jumped as she went down stairs.

You then checked back in on R.J as he was dressed "wow look at you smart boy!" You picked him up and kissed him.

You headed downstairs to see Gabriel stood at the door and Judith was talking to him.

"Everything alright Gabriel?" You asked.

"Yes! Everything's fine!" Judith said before Gabriel could speak.

"(Y/N) I need to speak with you. Somethings happened" Gabriel managed to speak without Judith interrupting him.

"Why don't you come in for breakfast?" Judith asked as she was trying to stall Gabriel into not telling you what he wants to say.

"Judith why don't you and R.J go and sit down at the table I'll be with you in a second alright?" You slowly placed R.J down.

"Ok, but come on let's eat!" Judith said as she grabbed R.J's hand and waited for you and Gabriel.

"I have no idea what's come over her. But please come in have breakfast with us if you want." You said as Gabriel walked in and you shut the door.

"It's fine, and thank you." Gabriel smiled.

You and Gabriel walked over to the table, You then went into the kitchen and put out some fruit and water. You served up a plate for Judith and R.J and they began to eat. You sat there with a glass of water.

"What did you want to speak about Gabriel?" You asked.

"It's about -" before Gabriel could finish Judith butted in.

"Hey are you planning on seeing Negan today? Just wondering."

"Judith Gabriel was just speaking. What's up with you this morning? Has something happened?" You asked a little bit concerned about Judith.
