Chapter 2: Apologies

Michone looked around at the newbies, inspecting every single one. You stood back as you were next to Aaron and Judith and tucked your hair behind your ears. Michone then patted down the one with the lion like hair.

"why are they here?" Michone asked.

You went to go speak but Aaron stepped in touching your shoulder. "It was my call" he then said. You looked at him knowing that he might be in trouble.

"It's not your call to make" Michone snapped.

You were about to step in again but Judith then interrupted and said "I decided, they needed help" Michone looked shocked but not surprised.

Michone pulled Judith aside and had a quiet word with her. "First thing tomorrow we can bring them before the council vote." Gabriel joined in. Michone peered at them again.

"Ok put them in holding" as she then walked away. You then walked over to Michone to have a private word with her about the newbies.

"Hey Michone." You called out to her.

"What's up?" She replied as she smiled at you.

"I don't trust these guys, something about them gives me some sort of creepy ass vibe." You complained as you walked back to your house.

"I know but it's what people will vote for tomorrow, wether they want them to stay or to go. And watch your language, your starting to sound like Negan." She admitted.

"Sorry, and since we're on the topic of Negan, how long will he have to stay down there behind bars?" You asked.

"We've talked about this (Y/N), your dad wanted him behind those bars to rot. So I'm doing what your dad wanted. Keeping this place safe." Michone sighed as she didn't want to talk about it.

"One more question, when can I get the key to actually open up the cell so I can go in there with him?" You asked.

"Look, I will need to think about it alright? I need to know if your responsible enough that you will lock the cell behind you after you've left. And that'll mean someone will have to be down there to monitor him too" Michone huffed as she started to get annoyed.

"Alright fine, but you know I'll be asking a lot about it." You replied as you shoved her jokingly.

"Is that so? Huh." She giggled shoving you back a little bit harder this time. As soon as you walked in the house R.J came running up to Michone giving her a massive hug.

"Hey? Where's my hug at?" You frowned as R.J immediately hugged you. You picked him up squeezing him back. "What you gonna do today?" R.J asked you.

"Well I'm going down to Negan for a while but other than that I'm staying right here!" You kissed and rubbed his check. "Can I come?" R.J asked.

"No baby, you gotta stay with me! Judith will be back soon, you can play with her!" Michone said as you put R.J on the floor.

You walked into the kitchen to grab some water for yourself and Negan, and you snuck a couple of cupcakes you made yesterday, you wanted Negan to try them and you wanted to be nice and give him some extra food like you have been.

"(Y/N) I want you back just before dinner alright? And no sneaking down food to Negan do you hear me?" Michone shouted as she was seated on the sofa playing with R.J.

"Yes I hear you don't worry." You shouted back quickly walking out the door and headed downstairs to Negan. It was quite handy that Negan's cell was right underneath your house.

You grabbed your key from your pocket and unlocked the door, you walked in shutting the door behind you. "Hey, I brought you some things" you said as you walked over to Negan's cell and sat down on the floor.
