"You want to meet up with me at Wanmin Restaurant?" You look up from your book to meet Chongyun's gaze, his eyes widening as he nods his head. He was fidgeting a little, a trait he rarely does and it made you bite back a small laugh from escaping your lips. He looks so cute under the sun as he shyly scratches his neck, looking away to not meet your eyes.

"Sure let's meet up there in the evening, right?" Chongyun nods again, eyes lighting up that he didn't get rejected as he lets out a sigh of relief unknowingly. It was a big risk for him to ask you out and he always thought you were so pretty. Your head stuck in a book like Xingqiu and he fears that you don't like him the way he does.

He assumed that you like Xingqiu with your similarities in a lot of fields while he just hangs around, eating his popsicle while being in his own world. It was always a peaceful hang out every time because the silence was welcomed with open arms. The cold wind glides through your hair and it makes Chongyun fall even more as he watches how your hair flows with the wind.

"Alright I'll see you there Chongyun!" You smile as you try to push a hair strand behind your ear and at the moment it feels like time has stopped for Chongyun at the angelic display in front of his eyes. Mouth parting slightly as he coughs to avoid any question of the small blush on his cheeks. He turned on his heel and buried his head in his arms while walking away, not realizing that you admired how cute he looks so flustered.

'Ehe he's so cute!' You couldn't wait for this evening and looked at the time to get yourself ready. You didn't expect such a bold request from the exorcist considering that he doesn't like talking too much. Most of the time when he's at Wanmin Restaurant it's because of Xingqiu and the moment he tastes anything spicy things are much different.

When you looked at yourself and smiled at the reflection you got a sudden reminder that the evening was close and you rushed out of your house to get to Wanmin Restaurant on time. You disliked being late and you would feel embarrassed if you made Chongyun wait for a while. Scenarios formed and making Chongyun believed that you ditched him didn't settle well in your tummy. His sad face made you walk a little bit faster as the sun was near to set.

'I'm almost there!' You pushed through and saw Chongyun sitting down on the table looking around the area. When your eyes meet he smiles and you quickly jog your way over to sit in front of him.

"Am I late? I'm so sorry about that." You pant while drinking a cup of water that Chongyun ordered while waiting for you. He smiles as he shakes his head while drinking his cup of water:

"You're not late at all Y/N. I just got here myself and ordered water." Hearing that made you happy while Chongyun thinks about how he came to the restaurant a little bit too early out of nerves. He wanted things to go smoothly and had to deal with Xiangling teasing him. He really hoped for a really good outcome by the end of this date and maybe having a lover when night fall would be good.

"Oh? Well how about we order some food then?" The mention of food made Chongyun sweat drip thinking about the times he went out to eat with Xingqiu and being forced to eat spicy food at times. He would never remember what he did that night and sometimes he wishes he didn't hear the tales from Xingqiu.

"Hello welcome to Wanmin Restaurant my name is Xiangling! What would you like to order?" A very familiar voice spoke as she mischievously smiled at the sight of you two today. Normally Xingqiu would tag along, but seeing just the two of you made Xiangling grin as she memorized what you ordered.

"Please don't give me spicy dishes tonight." Chongyun whispers as he sends her a glare when Xiangling merely giggles before heading to the kitchen to cook the food. She could be so mischievous once he turns his back and before he realizes what he's eating he's already rushing to drink water from the spice.

"H-here these are for you." Your vision was greeted by a bouquet of freshly picked silk flowers and you brighten up at the sight. Your love for these flowers blossomed as you thank Chongyun and hold them close to your chest. Such a sweet gesture flustered you as you hid your heated cheeks from Chongyun, unaware that he was sporting a blush as well.

"These are so beautiful." Silk flowers were so beautiful and just like the name, very smooth and silky. The crimson flowers made you enjoy the evening as Xiangling came by with your food.

You and Chongyun spent the rest of the evening talking and laughing while your cheeks hurt so much from all the smiling. It aches as you hold hands with Chongyun while he walks you home. When you two stood in front of your door he quickly pecked your cheek before dashing off, leaving you in a daze. You're sure to return the gesture tomorrow when you see him again and you didn't mind.

I'm so sad that this is short, but I really like how soft writing this made me feel ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭ I'm also sorry if Chongyun is kind of out of character! Then again most of the characters in this book will probably be out of character hhhh
