"It's so cold here." You shiver as you try to warm yourself by rubbing your hands over your arms while you climb up the path, trying to make it to the camp where Albedo was at. He invited you to help him out with Aether and Paimon so he can test to see if anything was different with Aether.

"I wish I brought my coat." You suck in a breath as you look over at how Aether wasn't that affected with the cold weather. He just looks around the area and checks his map to see if you guys are going in the right direction.

'He's wearing a crop top and he looks okay in this weather?' You ponder on that thought and stop when you see the broken bridge just ahead of you.

"Come!" You jump as you let your gliders glide you to the other side to enter the camp and throw yourself in Albedo's arms. His eyes widened at the sudden impact before hugging you back with a slight chuckle.

"Ah you made it." He motions for Aether and Paimon to enter the camp while he detached himself from your hug to greet them properly. You let out a defeated sigh as you make yourself comfortable in his camp while watching as he tests them in all aspects that he can think of.

When it was time for the results you curiously listened in on their conversation, closing your eyes at hearing Albedo's soothing voice. His voice alone could help you fall asleep and when you opened your eyes again you were wrapped in a very familiar coat as you looked around your surroundings.

You were still in the camp as you felt the slight shiver enter every once in a while and you could hear some light writings. You turn your head to see Albedo sketching something, his eyebrows pinched together while he seemed satisfied with his work.

His eyes meet yours and he smiles at you, setting his sketchbook and pencil down he gives you a warm hug.

"Where did they go?" You yawn while wiping away the sleepiness from your eyes, a little bit sleepy even after your nap. How long has it been since a nap felt that good?

"Oh? They got the data I concluded and they're off to adventure into the places unknown of Teyvat I suppose." Albedo shrugs and strangely smiles at the thought, his remaining words when they left still clung to his soul as he looks over you.

"How about a break from all of this work then? I sure would love some actual bonding time with you and I'm hungry." You mumbled and shyly looked at your fingers when you were met with silence.

"Hmm alright let's go to Mondstadt. I'll treat you to some food."

"Can I also braid your hair?" Your eyes sparkle at the idea and Albedo couldn't say no to those eyes. He was so weak seeing those puppy eyes and the last time he refused them was a memory he didn't want to remember.

"Just this once—"

"Yayyy! Thank you Albedo~" You suddenly hug the male as he lets out a chuckle, amused at how puppy-like you were acting. He helped you leave the camp while escorting you to Mondstadt making you laugh at how neutral his face was.

It wasn't anything new because his face was like that every day, but what made today different was that his hair was braided neatly into a Dutch braid and he wasn't exactly acting like himself.

"Are you okay?" You suck in a breath while clutching your stomach, afraid to laugh again in front of Albedo. He was hard to read despite knowing him for quite some time now and not even Sucrose or Timaeus could tell how he truly is feeling.

He mainly focused on his job which was alchemy and was never really separated from work. He was work bound from the start so it was hard to just make him take a break.

When you finally reached Mondstadt you let Albedo drag you to Good Hunter and greeted Sara before telling her what you would like to order. Times like this were so rare and you wanted to enjoy every last bit of it.

"I truly wish I can spend a lot of time with you Y/N, but alchemy just never seems to escape my mind." His honest words sent a euphoric feeling to wash over you, a calm wave hugging you softly as you take in his words, savoring everything.

"Don't worry about that. I'm happy with the way things are now and even if you can't always take a break I'll be right there for you."

'After all I love you Albedo' If only you had the courage to say those out loud, but maybe one day when the time is right.

For some reason my fingers compelled me to write this Albedo one shot like this and I'm so sorry if this wasn't the fluff you were looking for ╥﹏╥

I wanted to write one where the reader was his assistant or just some modern version, but my mind just told me to write this and make it soft with waking up wearing his coat, braiding his hair, etc.

If anything, if this isn't to your liking I can just write a new one shot for you and make it longer to please you!
