chongyun x xingqiu one shot

"You want to train with me?" Xingqiu blinks and he nearly drops his food, stunned to hear the shocking news and his ears burn red. He stares straight into Chongyun's eyes and seeing how serious he was made him realize how it could benefit them both.

"I want to expand my knowledge." Chongyun mumbles and leans back into his chair, crossing his arms in front of his chest. The real truth that Chongyun concealed was that he just wanted to spend more time with Xingqiu considering the fact that they're both busy at times, way too busy to just spend time together.

This excuse caused further havoc than he intended because the next day he was being taught by Xingqiu with strict techniques. He was somewhat confused at a couple of moves and tried his best to follow instructions.

"That's enough training. Let's go eat some lunch!" A mischievous smile crawled on Xingqiu's face and Chongyun had a bad feeling in his stomach. He gulps on his saliva and nervously smiles, following Xingqiu with a worried look.

It was a mistake to blindly put his trust into Xingqiu and he had to suffer the consequences. His face flushed red while he tried to cool down from the spicy food that was shoved in his mouth. A cheeky smile on Xingqiu's face and he laughs when he watches him frantically gulp down two glasses of water.

"Why did I ever trust you to not do this to me!" He whines and fans his face, ignoring the strange looks he receives from new patreons. The rest were used to these shenanigans and continued eating their food.

"You should've known better." Xingqiu teases while sipping his cup of tea, happy to watch Chongyun fall for his trick once more. He should've been used to his antics by now, but he still falls for his innocent act.

"Gosh I wish that you had thought this through before I went and fell in love with you." Chongyun mumbles to himself, unaware that Xingqiu was able to hear that and he sets his chopsticks down.

His face flushes at the thought and stares into Chongyun's eyes, completely speechless and when Chongyun realized that his best friend heard him he tried to hide himself.

'You're such an idiot!' He scolds himself and both red males try to calm down in their own world, trying to assess the situation and the first one to make the move was Chongyun.

"Since it's out in the open like that...I have loved you for a long time now." He scratches the back of his neck, avoiding eye contact and the fear of rejection scared him so much. What would ruin him would be their destroyed friendship because of his feelings.

"I didn't expect that confession to just happen, but-"

"And it's okay if you don't feel the same! Please don't think you have to answer me-"

Chongyun's eyes widened when he felt a soft pair of lips on his, a small peck was all it took for him to faint and Xingqiu laughed. His cheeks hurt so much from smiling and he couldn't ask for anything better than this. It was such a Chongyun way for him to confess and he didn't need anything special to hear his confession.

'Here I thought I would make the first move' He chuckles to himself and pays for the food, trying to drag his boyfriend back to his place to cool off with popsicles.

I'm so sorry for the long awaited one shot, but I went to a stump when writing this and I procrastinated on it for so long and not to mention I had to focus on exams so I stayed off longer from this app (′︿‵｡)

I'm back though and I can't wait to write more once again and I felt like my writing has gone bad so more practice for me aahhhhh
