I woke up to hear someone walking around. I felt around the bed, and didn't feel Spencer. I opened my eyes, and there he was looking around.
"Spence what are you doing?" I asked as he looked at me
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you go back to bed Av"
"No you didn't wake me? I'm just very confused what's happening"
"Hotch called me, and said he has a break in the case so I was looking for my things so I can go get ready for work" he said sitting next to me
"You should go if you left something here I'll bring it to you later" he gave me a kiss on the forehead before getting up
"You're the best"
"I know I am thank you" I said and he laughed. He walked to the door and before he left he turned to me
"I'm sorry Avery"
"For what?" I asked genuinely confused
"For leaving I promised I'd be here when you woke up, and I was about to leave without saying goodbye. I just didn't want to wake you because you look so cute when you sleep, and I know you're tired" His little rambles are my favourite. I got up, and walked over to him
"Spencer it's fine work is work. Now go and make me proud. You're going to do great today no more mind blocks" I put my hand on his shoulder
"Thank you" he gave me a kiss before walking back to his room. It was more of a run so he didn't get caught sneaking out of my room.
Once Spencer left I looked over at my clock to see it was 8 A.M. I slept a lot later then I thought I would. Working for the BAU I realized they wake up at around 6-7 everyday, so I guess I got to sleep in.
I checked my phone, and saw messages from my dad
Dad: Hey Avery! I was talking to your mom, and we were wondering if you wanted to come visit soon? She's having a big birthday party next month, and I know she would love if you could come.
Me: Hey dad! My work schedule is all over the place, but I can try. I miss you ❤️
Dad: I hope you can come. If you do you should bring Andrew, and maybe a boyfriend or girlfriend. I know your mom would love to see you with someone special. I miss you to honey.
Me: Yes dad I'll bring Drew, and maybe this year I will come with someone special!
After that text I put my phone down and looked at the ceiling. I had a great relationship with my dad he has always been loving, caring, and accepting. My mom on the other hand is the complete opposite. She is never happy with the people I bring home...especially not the girls, and she likes Drew more than me. I honestly don't think I'll ever bring Spencer to meet her. No matter how close we get I don't want her to hate him. He's a doctor with 3 phd's so I'm sure she'll love him, but I'm worried. It wouldn't be bad to have him comfort me while I'm there, but I can not deal with the constant looks from my mom, and Drew trying to start fights with Spencer for entertainment.
