Chapter 123

After a few hours the Hogwarts express rolled into the station of Hogsmede. Ginny and I headed off the train and towards the carriages where the thestrals then rode us up to the castle. We were puzzled at first when we couldn't find Luna whoever thought she must've gone to give out more Quibblers again

The pair of us headed into the castle, making our way into the great hall before eventually splitting up to go to our separate tables

I patiently waited for Luna who eventually came in. With her usual dreamy smile, she takes a seat besides me

"You okay Luna?" I ask "We couldn't find you"

"Apologies Ophelia" She smiled "I was walking down the train then I found Harry lying on the floor in a carriage"

"You found Harry what?" I freeze

"Yes Harry was slightly unconscious on the floor in the carriage with a bloody nose" She replied as I just stared at her, my eyes wonder to the Gryffindor table to realise he's not even there. Moments later the sorting ceremony begins and I don't bother paying much attention

Eventually the sorting ends and the feast arrives. I put a slight put a bit of food on my plate but continuously glance to the entrance way. I fall into a conversation with another student until Luna taps my arm

"There he is"

My head instantly snaps to see Harry walking to the Gryffindor table with a rag pressed against his nose. From where I'm sat, I could see the slight blood which covered it. I see him talk to Ron, Hermione and Ginny. Moments later I see Ginny nod in my direction. He turns around and makes eye contact with me. Staring at him, I just raised my eyebrows

"What the hell happened?" I mouthed, he just looked at me hesitantly

"Malfoy" He mouths back. I just raise my left eyebrow before swirling around. With everything that's happened, I wasn't in the mood to deal with his and my cousins feud

"Well she turned around quickly after having been staring at you for the past few minutes" Ron comments

"Shut up Ron" Ginny hissed "She's probably slightly pissed that with everything happening the rivalry between Harry and Malfoy is continuing again"

"Do you know what is happening?" Hermione asked. When they were all at the burrow, they were told not only was Ophelia hiding out for the holidays but also something horrible had happened

"I can't say Hermione" Ginny loyally shakes her head "She'll say it in her own time, but don't bug her about telling you"

Eventually the feast comes to an end. I spent the whole of it with my back to the Gryffindor table and engaging in a conversation with Luna the whole time

Dumbledore rises to his feet making the hall go silent as they turn to him

"The very best of evenings to you!" He says, opening his arms wide welcomingly. Some people gasp when they see his hand that looked black like ash and almost dead like

"Nothing to worry about" he said airily, dismissing the obviously upcoming rumours "Now...to our new students, welcome, to our old students, welcome back! Another year full of magical education awaits you"

" Mr. Filch, our caretaker, has asked me to say that there is a blanket ban on any joke items bought at the shop called Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes" He says making some students huff

"Those wishing to play for their House Quidditch teams should give their names to their Heads of House as usual. We are also looking for new Quidditch commentators, who should do likewise"
