Getting Awkward
Two weeks had passed. My hand wasn't broken anymore and my leg was healed. Everyone found out about Sirius Blacks innocence. The daily prophet put it as their headline 'Black Framed for 13 Years'. Many people were shocked at this but I was annoyed. They had revealed that he was my uncle in the press without permission. Personally I thought it was an invasion of privacy that led to me being bombarded with questions. Thankfully the summer holidays were nearing
It was a late Thursday afternoon. Classes were over for the day. I sat outside by the Black Lake with Ginny and Luna. Both were shocked to hear what happened that night. Therefore we spent lots of time together afterwards, even if we just sat in the same room doing separate things
"I can't believe our second year is practically over!" Ginny sighed falling back onto the ground
"I know right we just have three weeks left"
"What are you guys doing in the holidays?" Luna asked looking up from her magazine
"I'll be with my dad in the bakery" I told them
"Just the usual at home" Ginny responded "Dealing with the twins and Ron all summer long!"
"I feel so bad for you Gin" I sympathised
"I know me too but you guys should see if you could come over at some point"
"Definitely" Me and Luna assured her
"Your gonna need some girl power to attack your brothers" I added making us all chuckle
"Anyways are you going to see Sirius in the holiday" Luna asks
I sigh "I would love to but I'm not sure if my father would let me"
"Sorry about that"
"It's fine but I'll see if I can send him letters at least" I tell them "It's not like my father can just go cut off communication with my uncle"
"No your right it wouldn't be fair"
"Besides you two should come by the bakery during summer"
"Trust me I will" Ginny said "Only if you have those brownies"
We laughed at her set requirement
"If you owl me the day when you come I'll definitely make sure there's freshly baked brownies for you" I said to her. Her eyes glistened "How 'bout you Luna?"
"I'll see what daddy says"
I nodded. This is what I enjoyed. Being friends with them meant we could spend hours planning on what we'd do and talk about our issues. These were truly my two best friends and I loved them
"Changing subject" Ginny announced "You and Harry"
"What?"
"Anything happening between you?"
"No..." I said "Though I haven't spoke with him for a few days"
"WHY"
"I..don't..know"
"WHEN WILL YOU TWO CONFESS!!" Ginny groans loudly attracting some unwanted attention from people
"Confess what" Harry asks
We hadn't noticed but the Golden trio were by our sides
"How long have you three been standing there?" I asked
"About two minutes" Hermione notifies us
"How much did you hear?" Ginny questions them
"All we heard was something about confessing to someone" Harry responds
