I'd already been here for a couple of days so far. The whole time I had been indoors however, getting used to it

Today I decided to properly explore the outside. With Orion besides me, we wandered out of the door. I've been told not to leave past the warning fences because that was where the invisibility spell ended. It was a very noticeable fence, white with trees and bushes around it. Creating the illusion of a cage

Slowly we walked down the path, heading down to the stables which I wanted to look at more. Carefully I slid the doors open to see the dens each occupied this time

"Oh hello there" I smile at the horses who poked their heads through. My hand gently reached up to stroke the nearest one. Whilst doing so I looked into the food and water bowls "Take it you haven't been fed or given water today?"

They looked at me, as if understanding what I said, before shaking their head. I went over to the shelves where I managed to fill up a few buckets with food before individually going to pour them into one of the bowls. Next I did water which was slightly harder since the bucket got heavier

Accomplishing the job, I grin as I watch them eat. My eyes then wander to the riding gear, remembering the lessons I had had when I was younger

"Are any of you rideable?" I hopelessly ask. But surprisingly, a horse further down starts neighing to answer my question. Happily I skip over to actually look at the horse. It was very tall if I was honest, but also beautiful. It was a milk chocolate brown with a blondish mane and tail. My head looked down to see a name plate on the side

Poppy

"Hello Poppy" I smile, running my hand down her head "Your really gorgeous"

We stand there for a few minutes before I purse my lips

"Let's get both our gear on shall we" I leave it the gate, heading over the shelves. First I put on boots that were thankfully my size then found a helmet that I securely tighten to my head. Afterwards I grab a nice saddle and the other needed gear before walking over again. I look at the horses size then sigh "I'm going to need a stool"

Quickly I grab a stool which sat in the corner. First I put a harness on her face and attach a rope before opening the gate. Slowly I lead Poppy out the den to a more emptier part of the stable before saddling her up. Thankfully it seemed as I did everything correctly

"Feel good?" I ask which she thankfully nods in response "Then let's do this...Orion no running after"

The dog then runs out of the stable. I see him go lie down under the summer sun in the grass

My attention turns back to Poppy, in one hand I grab the stool where as with the other I take the rope, leading her outside

"I haven't ridden in many, many years" I tell her as we stop outside. Her coat glistens in the sunlight "So take it easy with me"

Carefully I step onto the stool. Fitting my foot into one of the iron foot spaces before swinging the other leg over. She moves a bit as I land on her back

"We good?" I make sure, earning an approving neigh. With a little squeeze to the core, she starts walking forward, away from the stable and into the field. Slowly I start talking to myself "Ok...I remember what I'm doing...let's go a little faster perhaps"

Carefully I add a little pressure onto her core, moving Poppy into a trot

Sirius walked out of the house, in search for his niece, she had been gone for a while and he just wanted to check on her

As he walks down the path, he squints his eyes when he sees Orion chilling on the ground in the shade from the stable. His tongue lolling out to the side

"Where's Ophelia?" He questions, joining his side. The dog barks, looking out to the field. Sirius was shocked when he saw his niece on the horse, who was perfectly set up, and riding around

He watched as his niece trotted around the field before surprising speeding up more into a gallop. The braid in her hair flying back as the summer breeze pushed against them

"Hey" I smiled when I slowed down on the horse, walking towards Sirius who leaned against the fence

"Well you surprise me everyday you do" He chuckles "When did you learn?"

"Mum and I used to go riding" I softly smile "We'd go to these stables near Hyde Park up London"

"You know, before everything changed" He sighed "Your mother said she wanted to do everything with you"

"Thinking back on it - I can tell" I laugh "We were always going on some crazy adventure"

"Anyways...how advanced are you since I practically saw that horse going full speed"

"I was just seeing how much I remember" I truthfully shrug

"Well at least you've got the whole summer to ride" He smiles "One good thing about being stuck here I guess"

"Will I get to see the others this summer, even if it's just going to the burrow for a few hours?"

"Honestly...I don't know pup"
