The Second Task
The world was dark. I'm not sure but I felt cold. It felt as if I was drowning against my will. Like as senses of hope were drifting away. I was physically and mentally unconscious I couldn't feel or understand my surroundings. I was like a rag doll sitting on a shelf
Ice cold water hits me. The February air slams into my face. My mind awakens itself. Here I am treading water whilst many others are standing on three decked floating platforms. I look to my side and see Fleurs' younger sister attempting to stay afloat. I grab her and we begin kicking to shore. Once we reach the platforms were hauled up and wrapped in towels. My teeth chatter as I attempt to warm myself. Hermione is also among us trying to dry herself
"What..the..hell..happened?" I chattered
"You were at the bottom of the lake" Cedric tells me from his spot alongside Cho Chang
"How bloody exciting" I sarcastically comment
Harry soon after comes flying out the water onto the platform. He's instantly surrounded by teachers and students assisting him. Now he's also covered in towels
"ATTENTION" Dumbledore bellowed. His wand was pointed to his throat illuminating his voice "THE WINNER IS...MR DIGGORY"
Everyone went crazy as his name was announced. All his friends and family were cheering him on. Dumbledore explained his use of the bubblehead charm
"HOWEVER SEEING AS MR POTTER WOULD HAVE FINISHED FIRST HAD IT NOT BEEN HIS DETERMINATION TO RESCUE NOT ONLY MISS RAYDEN BUT THE OTHERS AS WELL, WEVE AGREED TO AWARD HIS SECOND PLACE!" People started cheering for Harry "FOR GOOD MORAL FIBRE" I went and gave him a huge hug and a quick kiss on the cheek. Overall it was a thank you for not leaving me to drown as well as a congrats on second place
After the cheering and booing we made our way onto the boats which had brought everyone over. I was in a boat alongside Harry and Hermione who were wrapped in a towel like me. As well as Ron and the twins. We were joking about Dumbledores' use of words 'Moral Fibre'
Once we departed the boats and walked up the dock Barty Crouch joined us. He was talking to Harry so we just told our goodbyes and left
"What do you think Crouch wants?" I ask the lot
"Probably trying to lure Harry into the ministry" Hermione replies
"Oh god"
"Why do you care though?" Ron now asked
"He's a great friend and I care about him"
"You mean he's a friend with benefits" Ginny smirks
"Ginny" I seethed
"Sorry not sorry"
"Anyway Lia, has he asked you out yet"
I sigh "No, I'll let him take his time but he probably doesn't want to be with me"
They all stop and turn around even Ron
"Are you joking?" He spits out
"No.."
"Lia he's head over heels in love with you" Hermione blurted "You always make him feel happy"
"Really?"
"Yes we've all noticed his mood change when you enter the room" Ginny joined in "Plus you two kissed if you don't remember"
"And every time you say-"
"-something he listens closely-"
"-also when you compliment-"
"-him he blushes"
"And I thought I was observant.." I mutter
"You are it's just that love blinds you sometimes"
I smile at them before changing my expression
"Okay can we move on from me and my love life to something about you guys"
They all laughed as we kept walking back up to the castle

Harry POV
It was now late at night. There was supposedly a party for my accomplishment at second place however I didn't feel like attending. I just stood on the balcony of the astronomy tower
"Harry?" A voice echos
I turn myself to see Ophelia walking up the stairs. She sees me standing there and smiles
"Hey"
"Hey" I respond "Why aren't you at the party that's apparently being thrown?"
"Well I noticed you weren't there so I went on a hunt for you" She said "Though it wasn't really a hunt as I kinda predicted you'd be here"
I chuck an arm around her shoulder pulling her into my side
"Well you know stuff even Hermione and Ron don't know"
"Really?" She gasps
"Yup" I sigh. I looked out into the horizon. The sun was setting as a soft breeze flew around the castle
"They don't know how I felt at the bottom of the lake" I tell her. Quietly I heard her open her mouth to respond but she closed it again waiting for me to continue "They don't know that when I saw you down there, a hundred emotions went through my head. I was angry that they put you down there. Plus I was scared that I wouldn't be able to save you"
We stood in silence
"That's then when I saw Fleur's sister. She was stuck there as well and I had heard Fleur get taken" I paused "So I helped her because I knew you'd want me to save her life as well as yours"
She turned to me
"And that's what I'm grateful for" She smiles "Plus it felt amazing to have a shower when I got back to my dorm"
We laughed for a few more minutes before I turned to her. I moved her chin so she was facing me. Then I leant down to kiss her. She kissed back after the moment of shock. We stood there as her arms wrapped around my neck whilst our lips didn't part. I finally gained enough courage
"Ophelia I just wanted to ask-"
