Chapter 38

Heated argument and an Announcement

Eventually the train pulled up to Hogsmede Station. We quickly left the train attempting to keep Ginny away from her siblings until the feast. This was a difficult task as everyone except first years were heading in the same direction. Luckily it was only a five minutes walk to the carriages

Us four girls got into a carriage that then let in another group since there was space. I had noticed this group was a bunch of sixth years. Their group was practically full of boys so we just ignored them

"Hey your Ophelia" A boy says. I turn around to see Cedric Diggory who accompanied us at the World Cup. I just roll my eyes at him

"Hey your Cedric" I say before facing away and back to my friends "boys" I muttered to them causing them to giggle a little

"Talking about us little one" A unfamiliar boy said

"Why the fuck did you just call me little?" I glared. Who the hell meets someone and immediately calls them out for being little straight away

"Because your short"

"So? Your tall doesn't make a difference"

"Actually it does" He batts his hair away

"Fucking bastard"

"Ooo small and fiery" He said "I like it"

"Watch yourself Seth, you don't know who your talking to" Cedric warns him

I raise my eyebrow trying to look more intimidating

"I know who she is, she's Ophelia Rayden no big deal"

I look to the girls who just have wide eyes. I chuckle too myself

"What's funny shorty"

"Your stupidity"

He just gaped at me "I'm smart as a matter of fact"

"Are you? Because all I see is a Hufflepuff logo not a Ravenclaw" I smirked

He just glared at me

"Aww trying to kill me with you glare?" I cooed "Too bad your glare means shit"

He leans closer over the carriage

"Watch your tongue little girl"

"Bite me"

Everyone just watched the intense heat. Ginny I could tell was secretly cheering me on where as Hermione was having a look that was screaming 'stop'

"Damn your feisty"

"Damn your a pain in the arse"

"So are you going to copy everything thing I say"

"I'm not copying everything as I my sentence endings are different to yours"

"Seth just stop you don't know who she is" Cedric warned again

"Why she's just Ophelia Rayden. Nothing special about her"

I grinned widely before stretching my hand out "Let's start fresh with a formal introduction shall we"

"Why do we need an introduction when I know who you are!"

"But you don't know who I am" I protest

"Really who are you then?"

"Ophelia Black otherwise known as Mistress Black" I firmly say "Nice to meet you"

His eyes widened in horror "Yo-your a Bl-Black" He stuttered

"Yup"

The entire carriage was quiet. I shifted my seat so I was facing my friends

"Such a badass" Ginny whispered giving my a small high-five

"Is that you new way?" Hermione asked "Threatening people with your mothers side of the family"

"Well" I start "I wouldn't call it threatening I'm just staying my other name"

"What have I gotten myself into"

"A lot Hermione" I laugh

"A lot" Luna and Ginny repeat

We laughed and joked for the rest of the journey until we pulled up outside the castle. The boys left first as they were by the exit. However when we got up to leave Cedric stayed behind and helped us down

"Sorry about what happened" He apologised

"Why are you apologising? You did nothing wrong"

"I know but I told them to stop bugging you guys but they didn't especially Seth"

"It's fine I shut them up anyway" I lightly laughed

"True..Anyways I've got to go catch up with them" He says "See you later"

"Bye" We all say

The four of us walk up the stairs and into the great hall. I wish Hermione good luck before walking with Luna to the Ravenclaw table. We sit there for a few minutes talking until Dumbledore declares silence. The sorting ceremony starts and a few of them are sorted into our house

Dumbledore then moves onto his yearly welcome back speech. He begins by welcoming us, then moves onto the forbidden forest and how students must not go in there unless they want to suffer a terrible fate. Lastly however he drops a bomb on everyone

"This year there will be no quidditch cup"

Before he could even explain why all the students go into an uproar of disapproval to why our beloved school sport has been cancelled. Out of everyone the ones who were the loudest were the twins. Both of them were shouting lines like "RUBBISH" Somehow Dumbledore managed to regain peace. He further explained that there would be an event which would take up most of the school year as well as the professors time and energy

Suddenly lightning echoed through the hall. The ceiling turned into a thunderstorm. As well as the great hall doors opened to a man. This man walked in limping. He had a huge wooden staff as well as an artificial eye. The man had scars all down his face. Dumbledore greeted this man like an old friend. I presumed this guys must perhaps work for the ministry as such for example an Auror

Once the man went to the side Dumbledore finished his speech. He finally announced that Hogwarts was holding The Triwizard Tournament and at the end of October we'd be joined by two other schools who will also compete

After this he announced that the feast could begin. Finally the food appeared for us all. Many of the conversations held were about this tournament. Me and Luna however just talked with the group of girls and boys next to us

All I could tell was that this was going to be some chaotic year
