Marry MeSlowly but surely the day was coming to a quiet close. The sun was still out but preparing for its disappearing in a few hours
It was four thirty in the afternoon and Harry was nervous. He had been for the past several weeks as it had been planning this occasion. Thankfully it seems that Ophelia hadn't caught on, she only suspected it was linked to confidential work
Therefore she thought nothing of it when Harry had told her to get nicely dressed as he was taking her out to dinner. She thought he just wanted to have a nice date and time to themselves. So she, without a question, just slipped on a velvet red dress with black heels
"Ready to go?" Harry asked as she made her way downstairs. The girl nodded, taking her soon-to-be-fiancé's hand. He lead her outside where they then joint apparated moments later
Both of them landed on Oxford street where they then began their walk down the road. He lead her towards a beautiful and expensive looking restaurant where they then entered
They claimed their reservation before being directed towards a small dinner. The two of them ordering their food moments later
"You know" Ophelia began, taking a small sip of wine "Mum, Sirius and Reggie are acting very...peculiar, if I say so myself"
"What makes you think that?" Harry worriedly questions. Praying she doesn't get a hint
"It's just...they keep on giving me side glances or sometimes I see my mum suspiciously smiling to herself. I mean don't get me wrong, it's great to see her smiling...but it's just odd"
"Maybe they have a surprise for you
soon?" He suggests earning a quiet groan from her"I don't trust the three of them with surprises" She sighs "Sirius is literally a prankster, my mums secretive and Reggie is...well Reggie"
At that moment the food arrived, saving Harry the stress of giving it away. They tucked in, enjoying the delicious taste with each bite. Both of them staying in conversation of random topics however
When they were done, they paid the restaurant and left a tip before exiting the building. Harry took Ophelia's hand again as they returned onto the street. He lead her down, making her becoming more curious by the second. She followed as they then appartated, landing outside the gates to Hyde Park
"Where are we going?" She asked, meanwhile Harry just turned his head to face her and grinned
"Now that's a secret"
They walked in a comfortable silence for a few minutes
"Your not going to murder me are you?" She asked making him pause and turn to her
"No...why do you think that?"
"I don't know" She shrugged, allowing him to continue to pull her across the park. Her eyes narrowed when she saw a trail of candles which he lead her down. The path had the candles on either side, highlighting the way
Soon enough they were lead to where the candles ended. It looped around in a large circle which was also decorated with many flowers
"This is beautiful" She said to herself, glancing around before turning to Harry who was already looking at her
He approached her, gently taking his hands in her as he began to make up his unplanned speech
"Ophelia Black" He began "You are the most amazing and gorgeous woman I've ever come across. I absolutely love everything about you from your stunning beauty to your warm heart. You have been here for me since day one in third year. You didn't care that I was once the chosen one, not letting already placed opinions on me, make your assumption impression. I love the fact that you care about everyone including family who everyone told you not to associate with. You don't care about blood purity and who someone is from. You made me see the opposite and the truth and that is why I truly love you to the bottom of my heart. I love you to the end of the world and back"
"Harry?-" She obliviously frowned, questioning why he was admitting all this. However her hands covered her mouth as she watched Harry take out a small box and go down onto one knee
"So Ophelia Black, will you marry me?"
Tears formed in the girls eyes as she looked at the man she deeply loved. There he was, on one knee, confessing that he truly wanted to be with her forever. Knowing the answer, she nodded
"Yes" She chocked out as Harry widely grinned, slipping on the diamond ring before twirling her around. The two had a very passionate kiss before they were disrupted by a loud wave of cheering. A voice in particular shouting
"MY BABY GIRL IS GETTING MARRIED"
