Jacob and I talked every day and texted a lot. The days seemed to fly by and Crystal came up Sunday. We are heading out for a ride. It's so nice to be able to get out like this to unwind and decompress. Crystal was even having fun. We were out for a couple hours and as we headed back into the barn, I saw Jacob's truck, and then I saw him come out from the barn. We quickly head over to him and I slide off my horse into his arms.

"Hey cowboy! I'm so glad you are home. I have missed you."

"MMm, my favorite place to be. You wrapped in my arms."

"Smooth talker, so how did your weekend finish?"

"I finished on top. Another belt buckle to add to the collection. I couldn't have done it without you."

"I wasn't even there."

"You are the one to get me through my dark time. If it wasn't for you pushing me, I would still be on the side lines."

"Give yourself more credit. You are a strong man, body, mind, and soul. You could have done it all by yourself. I was just here to support you."

"I love you so much. I can't wait for you to be my wife." he said as he kissed me deeply.

"I love you too, and I can't wait to call you my husband."

He helped us bring in the horses and get them cleaned up and put out to pasture. We headed back into the house and started making dinner. Since Brad and Crystal were staying, we decided to grill burgers. Crystal helped make some coleslaw and we fixed baked beans and home fries.

"How are you doing, with Brad?"

"I'm just not sure where it's going. I am scared of what it is. You know I'm not used to the nice guy. One who takes care of me."

"He is a really nice guy though. I really think you should give him a chance."

"I will try. We will take it one day at a time."

"That's all he asks."

Soon dinner was ready and we sat out on the back deck eating and talking. It was such a peaceful evening among friends. It was starting to get late and Crystal needed to head home and we had to get up the next day for work. Brad then walked her out to her car and was gone for a little while.

"He's been out there for a little while." he said with a smirk.

"I think they are talking this out. They both really like each other. I think Crystal is willing to open up to him. She is not used to a good guy. He needs to be patient with her. This is new for her. I still think they look good together."

"Come here little match maker. So we will be husband and wife in a couple months." He said with a smile as he came and wrapped his arms around my waist and started kissing my neck.

"I can't wait. So we have dress fitting in a couple weeks, and I wanted to ask your mom if she would like to go. It would give us some bonding time. I really like your mom. She is so sweet."

"I think she would like that. She loves you. I wish your parents were still around to participate. They would be so proud of you."

"Thank you. I will call her tomorrow."

We hear the door open and close to see Brad walk in.

"So how did things go?" I ask.

"It went great. She has decided to give us another chance and I am so happy."

"That's so great! I am so happy for y'all." I say as I give him a big hug.

"So maybe you won't be so grumpy?" Brad gives him an evil look and pinches Jacob on the arm. I start to yawn and we all head to bed. The next day I called Janis to see if she wanted to go with us for our dress fittings and she was so happy that we included her in the planning. The week went by quickly and soon it was Saturday morning and I was headed to pick up Janice to meet with Crystal.

"Good morning Janice, how are you this morning?"

"I am doing well. Thank you for letting me tag along. Is your mother going to be coming with us?"

"No, sadly my mom passed away a couple years ago."

"Oh dear, I am so sorry. I'm just sticking my foot in my mouth, huh?"

It's okay. It's getting easier. I should have told you before. Alright, let's get moving so we aren't late."

We head out to meet Crystal at the bridal shop and get ready for the fittings. I go first and put on my dress.

"Dear, that is beautiful!!" Janis says with tears in her eyes. "He is going to be a blubbering mess when he sees you come down that aisle."

Thank you Janis. I knew when I first laid eyes on this dress that it was the one."

They get all my measurements and put the dress in my spot. Next was Crystal's turn. They didn't have to do too much with it. So we headed out for lunch. We talked and laughed. His mom told me stories of when he was younger and some of the trouble he used to get into. I don't think I laughed that much in my life. His mother was the best and I am so glad we got along.
