Emi and Aizawa walked into Aizawa's car with Emi sitting on the front seat as she placed the jacket she picked earlier on her lap. Aizawa didn't even give her the time to change-it was a risk of huge time waste.

The window was open for Emi's will-softly breathing through her sea-green hair. Emi crossed her hand, forming a pillow for her jaw just about the open window. Tracks playing through the radio, ones non of them recognize but decided to stick with anyway. "Where are we going?" Emi said as she gazed through the dark night.

"You'll know." Emi nodded. There's no reason to be pushy, she'll know it anytime soon anyway. More than he'd like to admit, Aizawa hated that side of Emi-that composed Emi. It's almost like after the incident, she don't feel the need to know nor do anything more than she's told or asked to-and that right there, made Aizawa felt guilty.

Drowned in their own personal thoughts, before they even know, Aizawa's car stopped in a parking spot. Emi squinted her eyes as she noticed where they are. Aizawa's apartment. "Are you trying to seduce me?" Aizawa rolled his eyes, "No."

"Then why are we 'watching movies' here?" Aizawa raised his shoulder, "We're not watching any movie." Emi squinted her eyes even more as she followed Aizawa walking in. "Then you're trying to seduce me," she smirked, teasing. Aizawa rolled his eyes once again. "Then why are we here?"

"Because your apartment got shitty rooftop," he replied dull. By 'shitty' he meant proper, crowded, loud ones-the kind he hated. Emi stalled, "We're going to the rooftop?" As Aizawa noticed Emi not following him, he turned back, questioning. "Any problem?" he asked as he stood right in front of her. Emi stared through Aizawa in a begging manner, as if she'd do anything but go to the rooftop with him. She stuttered, "I-I can't go there."

Aizawa raised an eyebrow, "Why not?"

"I-It's too high," she mumbled, hardly audible.

Too high?

"You're scared of heights?" he smirked, teasing. Not in a right mind would anyone believe Emi Fukukado, the Ms. Joke being afraid of heights. Not even Aizawa. She must be kidding, they used to do patrols on the rooftop all the time back then on the first couple years they got their hero license.

Emi squinted her eyes, humiliated, "Why are you smiling like that?"

"Once again, it's a smirk," he stated, "So you don't wanna come?"

Emi didn't reply. She knew that is the only thing she wanted at the moment. Also, Aizawa is the one asking her to. But over all places on earth, why the rooftop?

Her thoughts fluttered as she felt Aizawa's hand grabbing her's. She stared at it as Aizawa lead the walk, "Come on, it can't be that bad." She nodded-not that Aizawa noticed-he's a step further. They walked their way through the relatively dark staircase, long enough for them to get used to the silence of footsteps and the sound of breathing getting heavier from time to time.  Emi knew that if she beg enough, Aizawa would let her go then she wouldn't have to go to the rooftop after all, but for some reason she walked still, despite her heavy breathing and anxiousness.

Before they know it, they reached top stair. Aizawa let go of Emi's arm to open the door in front of him. Emi hate to admit it, but she was dissapointed. They sat on a carpet on the concrete ground. Never did he ever brought any carpet here, even when he'd be staying for the night-like he did a lot. But for some unknown reasons, for now Aizawa thought it's necessary. He even considered bringing the couch or possibly a whole mattress but thought it'd be too much work-so he didn't, a carpet is good enough for the night.

Emi got her legs pushed to her chest as she gave them a hug. She stared down at her now shaking foot covered in her white cat flip-flops. Aizawa laid down, staring at the dark deep sky. "You can lie down if you want to," he said, which sounded more like a command, "that way the ground is out of sight."

Emi did just as he said. She slowly laid down beside Aizawa, silent. Aizawa held her head slightly and stretched his arm as a pillow for her and his other hand for him. "You don't have to," she muttered, staring through the not quite starry sky. "It's alright," he replied, soft. God knew how much he hate how fragile Emi seems.

"What are we doing here?" she asked.

"Isn't it obvious?"

Emi raised an eyebrow, turning her face to Aizawa who's still just staring at the sky, expressionless, "stargazing?" Aizawa slightly smiled-hardly visible, "There's  not much stars to see." Emi gazed in a questioning face, "So?"

"We're moon-gazing, Emi," he uttered. 'because the moon right there, is beautiful.'

Only now Emi started to pay a close attention to the very moon. A full moon. She was far too distracted by the stars. "That's not a thing," she mentioned. "It is when I say it is," Aizawa mumbled as he chuckled. Emi blushed.

They spent most time in silence, mesmerized by how vivid the moon seemed at the very spot they are. As they fell deeper to the night, Emi started to shiver as the night eventually gets colder, slowing her blood down. It's a thing that Aizawa notice straight away. Aizawa turned his face to Emi, "You left your jacket?" Emi faintly nodded, trying to conceal the shivering she's in.

"You want us to go back?" Emi shook her head. "I'll go take it for you then." Aizawa sat up. The former hero turned his face to Emi as he felt her hand grabbing his'. He raised an eyebrow in the softest, least intimidating way, "Yeah?"

"Can you stay?" she uttered hesitantly. It's only the second time she'd ask Aizawa to stay, but for some reason it felt like thousands. All there is in her mind was how sick Aizawa must've felt of her asking him to do so much things. But before she know it, Aizawa nodded-a simple single nod.

Aizawa laid back, closer to Emi this time. He stretched his arms, bringing Emi closer to his chest to warm her up. That's his best attempt on trying to let Emi know she's safe and God knows how much he wished she understand. Emi shrunk, laying her head on his warming chest, still shivering. She closed her eyes. Aizawa held Emi's back slightly tighter, not willing to risk hurting her.

They fell silent. It felt like centuries before he could hear another word from Emi. Aizawa almost believe she was asleep. "With her eyes closed she called, "Aizawa?"

Why is she calling me that?

Aizawa hummed in response. "Why are we moon-gazing?"

Aizawa haven't really thought of it. Why are they moon-gazing? He asked her if she wanted to watch a movie, but why are they moon-gazing? "I-I don't really know, it's just the thing I do and thought you might like it too."

"What do you like of the moon?"

Aizawa fell silent for a moment before saying another word. "Heroes, like you, they're like the stars now...they're out of reach," he mumbled, "but the moon, they're so much closer, so much visible, so much just human."

"You're a hero too, Eraser," Emi muttered.

"Yet I let a star got killed upon my eyes."

"You're a hero Aizawa, despite everything," Emi explained as she opened her eyes, locking them to Aizawa's, "you always make me feel safe." She smiled sincerely. It was so bright, his heart burned.
