All eyes were at here whilst she covered her face with an open notebook and pretended to sleep-while she couldn't. Her feet moved restlessly, non that anyone noticed.

Emi stood up close to the bookshelf just a few feet from her bed. Unlike what most would think, she actually enjoy the silent moment of reading. She runs her index finger through the books trying to decide which one to spend with tonight. Unable to decide, she randomly pick a book and laid down on the mattress.

It was starting to rain outside and her window was open. Emi decided to stand up and close it as drops starts to soak the carpet. She gazed at the empty road before she shut the see through window closed-while she decided to keep the curtains open.

Emi flipped the pages, trying to find where she was since she forgot to mark it earlier. She sighed. "Fuck it, Emi," she muttered, "Why are you like this? This isn't you." She tossed the book away, then walked straight to the window.

She sat down on a chair, holding her chin with a fist on a table facing the window exposing the same empty street. It was a starless sky, jet black except for the crescent moon-which was hardly even visible due to the heavy rain and how far away it is.

Emi grabbed her phone from the end of the table, hesitantly searching a name in her contact list. Eraserhead. "I might regret this," she murmured as she typed, 'I'm very sorry. Without being condescending, I hope you're well.' Sent 02:11.

She panicked as she quickly turn off her phone and toss it away to the bed-but missed. It flew under the bookshelf instead. She took her laptop from the bag on her bed to the table she was before as she knew she wouldn't be able to sleep the night, it better be productive. She started grading the papers from the quiz of the day-the ones brought by one of her students to the lounge-with songs playing from the laptop for entertainment.

On the other hand, Aizawa-like most of the time-spend his night watching cat videos. An ashtray lay on the table, exposing the remains of cigarette butts. Unlike most days, the cat videos he's been watching can hardly make him giggle, not even a single smirk. He shrunk himself to the legendary, yellow sleeping bag as he continue watching cat videos.

In the dark, as he watch the funniest cat video he had so far showing a ginger cat dressing as Allmight saying 'I am here' in cat languange-which only he understands, a notification came in. Joke. He sighed as he clicked on the message and stared at it confused-if only he knew how to read (kidding, don't kill me).

Joke: I'm very sorry. Without being condescending, I hope you're well.'

Received 02:11.

Aizawa: Is this one of your jokes?

He was expecting a fast reply. It's unlike Emi to take so much time replying messages-not that they interact so often and not like he waited any minute. He rolled his eyes but continue to watch his distracted cat videos. It doesn't take so long until he's able to sleep while his phone keeps rolling cat videos until eventually it dies running out of battery.

The morning, as he wakes up, Aizawa escapes from his sleeping bag, walks to the charging spot, sticking his phone to the charging cable with his eyes half lidded. He turned his phone on to receiving a message from his former student Ochako saying, 'Mr. Aizawa how are you? We missed you.' and an unexpected text from Bakugo saying, 'Can you come back? The new classroom teacher is a total jerk.' He almost smiled as he notice Joke haven't reply to his message.

What jokes are you even planning Joke? You can simply use your quirk now since I don't have mine.

Aizawa sighed as he walked to the fridge for some fruit punch.
