Chapter 22: The Test VI

Seryoso? Kaming dalawa ang mag lalaban? Dean naman eh.

I then glance at Mark. He's smiling at me provoking me. His eyes says that I can do it.

I closed my eyes and remember our training.

"Sapphire, in fighting kailangan malakas ka.." he said at iniabot ang weights sa akin. "Wear those everyday."

"Lagi mo ba tong suot?" I asked habang isinusuot yun.

And then inililis nya yung suot nya jacket. "I always wear this." And then chuckled.

Pagkasuot ko nakaramdam agad ako ng bigat.

"Masasanay ka rin sa bigat nyan. Come lets practice."

Tumagal ang practice namin ng ilang oras at nasanay na din ako sa bigat ng braso ko at paa.

"Your attacks are now strong. Its time for you to know the next strategy."

"Ano yun?"

"Outsmart your enemy. You must set a trap to your enemy. Read his/her moves, imagine what you will do to him."

"Mukhang madali ah. Pero ang hirap kaya."

He smiled. "Come I'll  show you." He said at pumosisyon na.

He attacked me surprisingly. I dodge his attacks and when I successfully dodge those attacks, ako naman ang umatake. I hit him using my stick near his stomach but it seems na nabasa nya yun. And the I hit him near his head but he duck immediately and then hit my feet which made me fall.

"How did you fcking dodge my attacks easily?"

"Tactics my dear." He said at itinayo ako. "I told you, read the enemy's moves, the way your enemy thinks. Set up a trap. Let yourself be weak at the start, and then give your best in the end love. Doon ka magaling, surprise attack. Use that skill of yours to beat your enemy. Gave him or her the satisfaction at first, but then surprise your enemy at the middle or end." He said while smiling.

"Okay.."

"You will win, I know you will." He said while smiling. "Enough for today. You need to rest. Pag aralan mo ang sinabi ko ha."

"Opo boss!" And then we both chuckle.

I smirked. Mukhang alam na ni Felip na nakuha ko ang skill ni Mark.

Its time. I gave him a sudden attack when his guard are down. Of course, he's surprised! I expected that.

I expect high from him because he's the top 2. So I decided to let him attack first insted of me, I read him first and when I succesfully read him, I created a tactic on my mind, and looks like, its working.

He tried to hit my stomach because he thinks its my weak spot but no! I dodge it easily na parang walang nangyari.

He then gave me a attack from the side, pero I manage na masanga ito.

He then hit me from the other side but I duck easily which made him go away.

I saw how he looked at Mark who is currently smirking. I know he's thinking what happened to me. From being a lalampa lampa na pinag papalo nya ay naging ganto kalakas na kaya na syang talunin.

He attacked me again pero sinanga ko lang ng sinanga ang atake. I smirked nung makita kong hinihingal na sya, it goes exactly as I plan.

"Done?" I asked while smirking.

"Bakit parang nag iba ka? What happened Sapphire?" He asked habang inaatake ako sa baba.

"Training." Sabi ko habang sinasanga ang atake nya

"Just a simple training? Training for one week?"
Sabi nya at sinipa ako.

Kaagad ko naamng binitawan ang stick ko para sanggahin yun.

"Yeah. Why? Duda ka?" Nung makabawi ay ako naman ang sumuntok sa kanya.

"Syempre, ang bilis mong matuto!"

Bumwelo ako  my feet lifted on the ground. And then I swiftly gave him a sideward kick.

"Don't underestimate me and Mark." Ispat to him nung makitang natamaan sya sa braso. Hindi ko naman talaga sya tatamaan sa ulo eh, baka ma knock out kapag dun ko pinatamaan.

Tapos na ang laban at tie kami. Unexpected dahil newbie lang ako at sya ay senior kona. Mark really trained me.

I offered my hand para makatayo sya. Which he gladly accepted.

"You improved so much." He stated.

"Do you think?"

"Oo. Tapos sabi mo sa akin kinakabahan ka pa. Kinakabahan kapa sa tayang to? Tie tayo?"

"Malay ko naman na magiging ganon ang resulta."

"No doubt na mapapasama kana sa top 10 this sem."

I flinched. Compliment from my enemy huh. "Naman. Nambola pa."

"True. Walang halong biro."

I smiled. "I wish." Sana talaga ay makapasok ako sa top ten. Para naman hindi masayang ang efforts sakin ni Mark.

"Paano ka lumakas ng ganon?" As expected. Itatanong nya to.

Ngumiti ako sa kanya.  "That's our secret."

"Parang iba ako ah. Bilis na."

Napbuntong hininga nalang ako at napilitang sabihin ang totoo.  "He trained me very well. That's all."

"Yun lang? That's all? Sigurado kana?"

"Oo." Totoo naman ah, tinrain nya ako ng ayos.

Tapos ang galing galing ny pang mentor. He knows kung kailan nahihirapan ang tinuturuan nya. Alam nya kung saan malakas ang tinuturuan nya kaya nya napapagaling ang mga tinuturuan nya.

Nag patuloy ang labanan, karamihan ay mga seniors ang nananalo dahil sumusuko na agad ang mga newbies. Pero marami parin ang hindi maniwala dahil nag tie kami ni Felip.

And then the next thing I knew I tapos na pala ang invididual test at nag announce na si Dean.

"Students, I hope you enjoyed the invididual test. So for today, I declare that this will be our last test for today. We will continue it tommorow.

So for the schedule for tommorow. It will be the group test. Good luck and Good night students."

Finally natapos din ang invididual test. Bukas ay group test na, and stillmartial arts parin yun.

"Oh I almost forgot, students, always remember my surprise test for you. Good night!" Dean said at umalis na.

Isa pa yung test na yun. Bakit kasi hindi pa sabihin? Ang difference lang nun ay, hindi na sya surprise test.

Oh well good luck nalang sa amin bukas. Akmang papasok na ako ng room ko ng biglang may humila nanaman sa akin palabas. Ano nanaman to?
