03 "Nullifier of Artistry"

Era 982, Junius

NGAYONG HAPON na pala naka-schedule ang actual practice namin. Kada phase ay may designated na open field lang kung saan pwedeng gumamit ng artistry.

Nagsabay na kami ni Allisa patungo roon. Hindi masyadong tirik ang araw dahil sa mga ulap na humaharang sa kalangitan. Presko rin maglakad lalo na't mahangin din.

After walking for minutes, masasabi kong nasa open field na kami dahil iilan nalang ang nakatayong structures dito. Naaaninag na rin namin ang ibang members ng A-Class sa 'di kalayuan. We both crosses the line dividing the green field from the cobbled path of the institution.

When I took a step inside it, napatigil ako nang may bumangga sa katawan ko. A white wave surfaces from the ground after we overpass it, as if I'd walked into a transparent wall.

"What is that?" I subconsciously looked around me. Much to say, this is my first time to be included in an assembly like this.

"Snap! First time mo nga pala 'to," Allisa then cleared her throat. "That's an artistry boundary, a copy of someone's artistry for Arozel's academic use."

Someone?

She saw the question written on my face. Inayos muna niya ang kaniyang salamin bago nagsalita. "Someone we do not know. After all, it's just a fact given before by Ms. Florian." She shrugged.

I blinked. "A boundary? Sounds like we're not free to do things here."

The boundary she's pointing to has only two possible definitions. Either it serves a purpose to limit the track of our artistry around the field, or our artistry is the one that will end up being limited. The effect becoming more personal than general.

"Exactly, it serves as a limitation to our artistry," napangiti siya sa sinabi ko. "Since the artistry of others from our class is highly dangerous. The overseers, which are the higher ones in the Arozel, put a limit on us. We can only use it to its full power when we have a mission outside the institution."

Kahit pala may free will kaming gumamit ng artistry dito, limited pa rin. Well, not that I can blame them, after all, some of us are really dangerous!

"You could just assume it's one of the overseers," bumalik na siya sa paglalakad. "Hindi ko pa alam kung anong artistry ng ibang overseers, but for sure, sa kanila galing ang boundary na artistry."

I just humbly followed her steps. "Sila rin ang source ng barrier sa Zavied, 'di ba?"

She smiled. "Yes. I'm glad you're informed."
