THIRD PERSON Era 981
THE HEADMISTRESS slammed the table in front of her. It caught his attention, but it didn't make him flinch in the slightest. It was the first time he had seen her lose so much composure. Was the situation really that serious? He thought.
"We can't recruit her for now."
"But that's her artistry, isn't it?"
Hindi iyon sumagot.
"That's why you want me to watch over her, not to protect her from others, but to protect her from herself." The edges of his eyes sunk in annoyance.
Struggling to meet his gaze, she muttered, ". . . That's not an artistry."
Nalito naman ang binata at lalong kumunot ang noo. "What do you mean?"
"Her artistry should appear on her 16th birthday, but what you encountered in her . . . is far from that. Did you really saw the right thing?"
"I was able to. But why do my artistry affected her? That's the only thing I can disable with this gift." He said.
She gave him a wry smile. "You're just as clueless as you were before, Tristan."
Itinaas niya ang kaniyang noo upang titigan siya. Mga matang puno ng katanungan, mga katanungan na siguradong hindi nito masasagot. "You're hiding something again."
She chuckled refinedly.
"Of course I am. I have plenty, to be precise," she boldly uttered, sliding her gloved hands from the desk to her back. "It seems you still haven't gotten used to me, Tristan. How many years has it been? You should be more accustomed to me by now."
He stayed on his seat. He propped his chin on the back of his hand, eyes avoiding hers. "If you want me to rightfully fulfill my duty then answer those questions."
She simply declined her head, smiling out of amusement. "Words, Tristan. And the thing you're saying, it's not the primary reason why I want you to accompany her. But it is indeed one of the reasons." She emphasized.
The headmistress just stood firmly as she turned her back to him, she was then followed by her subordinate's eyes.
Tumayo na rin si Tristan at tinitigan siya sa kaniyang likuran. "She's been dealing with it for a long time now, she's suffering from it. What are your plans now?" He asked more.
