SASKIA'S POV

I HAVE LIVED A cheerful life before. Tristan met a lively young girl in the past. It was a fulfilling childhood, once I thought, until everything went downhill.

My state right now wasn't fitted to become my old one. She was the one who killed it.

"Saskia," someone called.

I gave her an intense gaze, so sharp it felt as though it could pierce the bounded line between us right now. But someone like her would never be shaken by something so futile. Still, I had to do something to fulfill this desire . . . this burning desire . . . to bathe my hands with something crimson, perhaps hers, even if it means sacrificing my own sanity once again.

I felt an intense pressure within me. I can feel the strange force again. Wanting to take over this body. Wanting to devour this mind.

This foolish desire.

"Saskia!" The voice called, now louder.

Kakaibang sensasyon ang naramdaman ko mula sa aking pulso na kumalat agad sa buong katawan ko nang may humila roon. Naramdaman ko ang paggamit nito ng kaniyang artistry sa 'kin. Kaagad ko siyang nilingon sa aking likuran, it was Tristan. Tinitigan niya ako, seryoso at may bahid ng pag-aalinlangan.

"Now's not the time." He stressed.

My mind slowly returned to its normal state.

Iniwas ko ang aking mga mata sa kaniya at napayuko. Napasapo ako sa aking mukha. Did I . . . almost lose myself again? What's with those thoughts? It's fueling my mind.

"S-She destroyed the barrier," Saphire fixed her eyes on her, frozen, as if a single motion would invite death. "Then the fallen souls outside . . . It is possible that . . ." her voice was halted as she tried to find her next words.

"Makakapasok na sila rito." Rhiele continued, he looked at the woman with hostility.

Allisa whipped around, distressed, as she lifted a hand in the air to signal everyone of something. "Evacuate. Now! There is no time anymore!" She cried out to the people behind us.

They shuddered with her voice, halos ngayon lang natinag ang iba sa kanila. Nabalot ng hilakbot ang mga mukha ng ilang scholars at mentors na ngayo'y nakahinto pa rin. Tila napagtanto na nila kung gaano kapanganib ng sitwasyong kinalalagyan nila ngayon.

"The barrier has been destroyed, the fallen souls have a way now!" She even added.

"F-fallen souls?"

Using their small voices, the young scholars questioned us. I gazed at them with a sullen expression. Now, I feel bad for them.

Marami na ang nagmadaling tumakbo papunta sa ruta ng evacuation area. But others stayed standing there. May takot sa mga mata.
