Kalani's POV
"So you ok with all this?" I asked him. "Are you just gonna pretend that all this is normal?" I continued.
"What do you want me to say Kalani?" He stopped.
"I don't know, that this isn't happening," I shrug my shoulders.
"That this is a lie, and in a few minutes my children will go to school, and I'll be left baking. And after that, I have sewing with you mom. Something!," I raised my voice. "Anything, anything that is not this!" My voice cracked.
He came to me, and held on both of my arms, bent down alittle so he was looking at me, and he said,"I'm sorry Kalani but I cannot do that. We have to face reality and reality at the moment sucks. You are being attacked and it's my duty to ensure your safety and the safety of your children, my mom included. And I can't do that with you out freaking out on me. I need you to calm down." He tried reasoning with me.
"Calm down," I sarcastically chuckled looking away from him.
"You want me to calm down." I pulled away from him while still not looking at him. My voice went back to serious mode.
"How is this a calm situation Seven?" I turned to look at him, folding my arms together. "The last time men came for me, I was kidnapped for month and a couple days added, I was strangled, almost raped, shot at, and you want me to calm down?" I looked at him as if he was joking.
"Kalani I know this doesn't particularly bring good memories and I'm sorry for that." He came closer again. "But you have to understand that right now, you are pregnant again and with kids. And those kids in there," He pointed back to the office room. "Those kids need you, and they need you now. I'm asking you to please calm down. If not for me, for them and that baby that you currently carrying." He gently continued.
"Sorry to say this, but Seven has a point my dear." His mother interrupted with her cute motherly voice. She then took my hand and looked up at me. "Those kids need you ok, you gonna be ok, your family is gonna be ok, you just got to believe it my dear." She patted my shoulder.
"I'm scared." I whispered, breaking down, crying. She pulled me in a hug and she caressed me, patting my back.
"I know, nobody deserved what you went through my dear. But you need to be strong now, you understand me?" She pulled away looking at me.
"Yes ma'am." I nodded.
"Good, now wipe those tears away and let's get in." I quickly wiped them away and I conjured up a smile. I took a deep breath in, and I breathed out, ready for whatever that was coming.
When I got back to the room, the kids were all sitting down as if waiting for me to come back.
"Mom, we need an explanation." Charlie started. "What exactly is going on?" He continued, looking at me like I knew all the answers in the world.
"I'm afraid, I also can't answer that Charlie." I replied truthfully.
"I don't know what's going on." I sat down defeatedly, huffing.
"I don't know who those guys are, and what they want. Mon-, I mean, your father is going to explain to all of us when he gets back." I rubbed my forehead, feeling a headache starting up.
"Oh my gosh!" Eawa exclaimed, covering her mouth with her hand. I looked at her with the expecting her to explain. She didn't explain, she just pointed at the CCTV footage and I turned around and I saw about ten guys coming towards out house.
They were all carrying big guns. Some had automatic rifles, others, assault rifles and others, shotguns. One was carrying a machine gun and I felt my blood run cold.
"Oh my gosh." I whispered, slightly moving back.
Enzo and Charlie immediately stood up and went to the open area to gear up. A second later, Placido followed. Rumi and Dakota rushed to me, pulling me close to them.
"Momma, I'm scared." Rumi whispered, tears falling down her cute chubby cheeks.
"Me too." Dakota followed. Eawa just sat there, all dazed up and freaked out. Her knees pulled up towards her stomach and her chin placed on her knees, rocking herself.
"We gonna be ok." She kept muttering. These guys kept shooting our men and I could tell they were experienced and we were losing. One guy came up to our door and he placed a bomb.
Oh my gosh, they wanna to get in. My eyes popped up.
What are we gonna do? I quickly looked around for a clue to stop them from coming in and but I couldn't find one.
Montero I remembered. I have an earpiece that Montero gave me. I immediately tapped on it to see if it was working. I heard some shuffling sounds and I smiled because I knew it was working.
"Montero." I immediately called out on him.
"My love." He answered. I smiled, tearing welling up. I could here men screaming and guns blazing but his voice was so natural and calm you would think he was just doing his daily activities. But who was I kidding, it was once his daily life to kill, so doing this was normal for him. In fact, it was too normal it scared me.
"Men, men are trying to bridge the door." I panickly spoke.
"I'm on my way." I could hear shuffles and him shooting others. I looked at the CCTV footage to see if I could spot him, but the first person I saw was Felix tackling a guy. The guy shot at him but Felix slightly dodged to the side, he shot back but no bullet came out. He immediately threw his gun at the guy, hitting his head and immediately ran towards him. When he got to him, he punched him on his face, took out a knife from his side holster, and stabbed him on his neck.
While the knife was on the guy's throat, he pushed it further in, moving it to the other direction, cutting open the guy's neck. Blood just oozed out, splashing his face. He looked indifferent to what happened, took out his knife from the guy's throat, and wiped it with his pants. The guy he had stabbed had his eyes all popped up in shock and he went down. His throat all open. He picked up the guy's rifle and continued shooting.
I immediately felt nauseous at the amount of blood that I saw. I have never seen Felix in the battle field, but after that, I understood why him and Montero chose him to be his personal bodyguard and why they gradually become close friends. And the thought of it terribled me.

My lovies.I am back. So I posted two weeks back, if I'm not mistaken, that I would be gone for a week. I was sick and it was fairly bad. But I managed to post one chapter still.
I got worse and I just couldn't post. After a while, I was starting to get better, but then I think it's starting again. Even my medicine is not working anymore. And I got a job too. I'm a pre school teacher and I started this week Tuesday.
It is both fun and tiring, hence way I couldn't update too. I'm thinking of going to the doctor Monday so to prevent surgery. That's how bad it has gotten.
But no more sobbing, so back to the story. I'm thinking Montero should have his POV now. It's much needed. Let's see things in his point of view.
Remember: This author loves y'all ❤️❤️💞💞❣️
