Kalani's POV

You gonna go with Felix honey." Montero looked at me.

"He will keep you safe, protect you with his life. But I need you to trust him ok?" I just nodded, seemingly unaware of what was happening. I vaguely heard him telling me that I was going with Felix and Eva, but still, I want to register it.

Montero called Eva and she quickly came over.

"Protect them with your life, please." He begged.

"Always." She patted his shoulder, leaving me with the guys who were now gathered around the family table ready for the action plan.

"Kalani, you hear me, honey?" Monterey asked.

I just looked at him and I blinked. How was he here? Why was he here? Why was I here, again??

Didn't I leave this house with Felix and the children, and Montero went with dad? I shook my head again to try and level my grounding.

What the hell was going on?!

Montero saw that I wasn't responsive, so he pulled me by his side and asked again.

"Babe, you good?" I looked at him and the room around us. The kids were fine, Dakota didn't have a sprained ankle, my boys were fine, most of the guys that I thought perished were alive and well, well, I wasn't giving birth or anything like that.

Then what the hell is going on?

And out of all that I could think off, one thing came to mind. A trance. I fell into a trance. A very agonizing, trance. I saw my daughter getting shot at. She then fell into a river and Montero went after her.

But before that, a lot of crazy things happened. We had a shoot-out with some bad guys, and it was the first time the boys handle the guns. I was a mess and I was on the verge of losing the baby, to try and save Eawa's memories. And Eva was a mess and my children a disaster.

"Kalani honey did you hear me?" He repeated.

This time I looked at him, tears filling my eyes.

"I'm not leaving." Tears already falling down my cheeks, I quickly wiped them with the back of my hands.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"I mean, I want to stay and fight with you," I replied. My dad was the first to object.

"No!"

"That's not for you to decide." I objected as I looked at him.

"But you pregnant," Montero interjected.

"And everyone keeps saying that. But still, I'm staying and I'm fighting."

"Honey, I'm gonna have to agree with your dad, for the first time in ever," Dad looked at Montero with the excuse me look. But I didn't care. What I cared for at this moment was the fact that I know what I saw, and it felt real. The realist I've ever seen in my entire existence.

And I'll be damned if I go through that again.

"Listen to me," I started. "I know that I may seem weak, but I saw something out there, and I won't be able to survive if I go through that again."

"What are you talking about?" Montero asked.

"I saw him die." I pointed at our driver. "And, and I saw those guys die too," I pointed at the other guys whose car was behind us." Now everyone was looking at us.

"Dakota was hurt, God forbid, and you, " I finally looked at Montero.  "You followed Eawa into the river. Eawa, my baby..." I choked on my tears.
