Montero's POV

"Well?" My dear wife still had her hands folded, waiting for us to say something.

"I think we should be heading to the airport yeah?" I suggested, trying to suppress what she had asked.

"Not before my question is asked." She stood her ground.

"Babe," I walked to her slowly,  "If I were to explain to you with my true honesty, would you believe me?" I asked, finally reaching her, taking her hands, and rubbing then softly.

"It depends what your explanation is." She presses her lips together.

Well, here goes.

"I had nothing to do with the boys being here. In fact, I was just reprimanding Enzo and Charlie for having disobeyed my orders." I explain to her.

"Am I supposed to believe you Montero?" She askes. I chuckle, looking away.

"It's true mom, dad didn't know about us being here, nor did he secretly order us to come. In fact, I kinda feel bad that I disobeyed a direct order because it might have gotten other people killed. And I apologized to dad for that. I'd like to apologize to you too." Enzo chimes in.

"For what?" She inquired.

"I acted on impulse. I did what I thought was right at the time, and I didn't calculate the loss it might have caused to the family, to our people. Dad made me realize that. So I'm sorry mom for making you worry." He continued.

"Fine, fine. We need to leave." She shooed us away, walking towards Eva.

The moment she was out of sight, I exhaled the breathe I didn't know I was holding.

"Well, its official dad," Enzo came out of nowhere, placing his arm around my shoulder, "you are terrified of mom. Totally whipped."

"Boy, if you don't wanna lose face, I suggest, you go to your brother and pray that the others got to the airport safely, or god so help you." I snarled.

He immediately let go of me, quickly rushing to where Charlie walked away too.

Well, that worked. I smiled.

Kids...

Enzo's POV

"Where are they?" I ask Charlie, the moment I get to him. He was done with the phone call, and heading towards Eawa.

"At the airport waiting for us." He replied.

"Okay, good. Are they safe?" I ask, walking with him.

"Yes." He continues. When we reach her, she is just standing there, alone, quiet. For the first time, I see my sister, and she is just so disoriented and disconnected from the world.

"You okay?" Charlie started. Startled, she turns around with her fists up, ready for battle.

"Hey, it's us." We both quickly raise our hands up in defense.

"Sorry." She mutters, placing them down. Her eyes start filling up with tears for the first time I've ever known her. Eawa on any given 'normal' day wouldn't cry in front of us. She would never want us to see her vulnerable like that because we were gonna make fun of her being a cry baby. But today was different.

Today we almost lost her, like how we almost lost mom, and dad, and aunty Eva, and everyone else who went to look for her. So just for today, it was self-explanatory to not make a joke of this.

"It's okay." I walk to her, and pull her in a tight hug. When she was in my arms, she broke down, and starting crying.

"I thought, I thought...she, she was gonna kill me Enzo." She says. Her voice all muffled, filling with stutters and sniffs.

"It's okay, it's okay." I assured her.

"She said she was gonna murder me, and no one would remember me." She continues.

"That's a lie Wawa. I'd remember you. Charlie would remember you, and so would the twins, and mom and dad." I pull away, and look at her face. Her eyes were red, and she had a running nose, her hair a mess, but she was my sister, my quad. The one that I shared birth space with, and seeing her life this made me both mad, and sad at the same time.

"But,-"

"We would all remember you," I wipe her tears away with my thumbs, smiling to her. "You matter to us Eawa. Heck, you dad's favorite." At this, she finally smiles.

"Okay, that's true." she comments.

"See, you are important. So don't let anyone tell you otherwise, okay?"

"Okay." She whispers, pulling me into a tight hug one more time.

"Okay, okay, we love each other, but we really need to leave." Charlie interrupts us, going in between us, pulling Eawa into her arms, and placing a soft kiss on her head.

"Love you sis." He whispers.

Like I said, today a lot that was out of our control was happening.

We got to the car, and we were going to travel with granddad, my mom would travel with dad, aunty Eva would travel with Johnathan and uncle Seven.

"You okay kid?" Grand dad asked. We all know he was talking to Eawa.

"Yeah, I'm okay." She whispers, looking out the window. I figured she didn't want to converse with anyone, but that was also okay. She was okay, and that's all I'd ever need anyways.

Kalani's POV

"You think she's okay?" I ask Dominic. We were on our way to the airport, and the quads were travelling with dad.

"She's shaken. That much I can tell, but to truly say she's okay, I'm not sure."

"But you think she will be?" I ask. I don't know. I just want the assurance that my daughter will recover, and that whatever that happened to her will pass.

"I hope you right." I mutter to myself.

"What is it that you said about making love to Maria with her hands up?" I finally ask.

"Honey, I can explain..." He raises both his hands up.

"Pray tell, please do Montero. Please explain." I seat up, folding my arms, waiting for whatever starky comeback he might have.

"I wanted to buy us some time." He flatly says.

"Really?" I press my lips today.

"Yes. I have never laid with her. She was a virgin for goodness sake. Well, that's what she told me. I never talked her in that kind of way." He continues.

"Should I believe you?" I tease him, trying to suppress my smile, relief washing over me.

"Honey, please do." He whispers, looking at my lips, coming closer.

"And if I don't?" I tilt my head.

"Then," he steals a kiss, "I'll have to kiss my promise to you." He leans in, runs his hand on my hair and pulls me in a sweet, yet soft kiss, making me forget all the worries of the world.
