Montero's POV

After a heart to heart with my wife, I took an unwanted cold shower, and I came out the shower, and the mother of my kids was sleeping. She still looked as beautiful as day, and still my love for her was never gonna fade.

She was probably tired. Heck, we all were, and it still during the day. But I still have to make a call to my dad to ensure that we would arrive safely home.

I took my phone out the charger, and dialed his number. I still knew it by heart, and it irritated me that I still remembered it.

He picked up on his second ring.

"You okay? Seven told me what happened." He jumps right on the conversation.

"You informed I see." I go to my closest, and look for something to wear.

"I was worried when y'all didn't reach here as planned, he was the only one who picked up when I called." He explains.

"Don't worry, I won't have him killed. He is Kalani's close friend." In the mafia, the saying was true in so many levels.

Snitches get stitches. Well, in the mafia  snitches die the worst death.

"I'd pay alot to be close to her right now." He jokes. "It seems like she's more like a bulletproof for others to survive what you capable off."

"Father, don't get me started." I really wasn't in the mood.

"Fine sorry, what do you need?" He asks.

"Finally the question I was looking for. I'm in need of a clean route to get you safely."

"What do you mean? You have three routes you could take, why would you need another one?" He asks.

"Because plans have changed. We are now traveling together." I inform him.

"Are you bonkers? Why in the world would think of such a stupid plan?" He raises his voice.

"I swear, if another person says this plan is stupid, I'm gonna shoot him in the head." I mutter.

"Anyways," he clears his throat. "Today most of my shipments are coming in, I don't have that much people to ensure you a safe passage." He explains.

"How many do you have, and how far would they take us?"

"I have enough to get you through town, and then afterwards it depends on luck if your car is not rigged to explode." He informs me.

"And you would like that wouldn't you?" I chuckle.

"Son, not everything is about you. And believeor not, I'm actually excited to see you and your kids, with your wife off course. Decide, and tell me what you want then." He ends the call.

I place my phone on the bed, frustrated at how right he is. He probably cares more about his grandchildren then me, as they have a better bond with them then he'll ever have with me. But off course, that wasn't important. I needed right now is a solid plan on how we actually going to get to him unharmed.

I get dressed, kiss my wife on her forehead, and leave the room. The kids were still the boys and Eawa was probably alone trying to calm down.

I meet the men, including Eva, in the dining room of the plane, all of them settled in round table, ready for a meeting. Jacobson still looks like he wants to kill me.

"I see everyone is here." I mutter, sitting down.

"Do you have a plan?" Jacobson asks the moment I sit down. He is sitting next to Seven, who is next Felix. Johnathan is next to me, Eva opposite him.

"I actually do." I smile, looking at him.

"We take separate cars as planned, but the family will all go in one car. Others will travel with each other." I explain to him.

"Montero are mad?" Jacobson bursts out.

"Why would you assume that?" I fold my arms sitting back.

"If anything happens, it's over. This family that you so tried to protect is gone." And truth be told, I understood his reasoning. If anything, it made alot of sense. "Do you really want to risk that? Do you really want to risk your family like that?"

"It will make my daughter feel safe." I looked away, feeling stupid and awkward.

"You willing to risk the whole family for one person?" He continues to press.

"We never leave anyone behind. Unfortunately, that's Something you know nothing about." I snarl.

"You will never let this go, will you?" He chuckles.

"Nope, and I think it's fair if-,"

"I don't like your plan mate," Johnathan interrupts me, and I look at him, "But wherever you go, there, I will follow you brother." I smile at him and he takes my hand into and we do our signature hand shake.

"It's dumb, stupid, and an impulsive idea." Eva adds, standing up to pour herself some whiskey for herself.

"Finally, someone who sees what I see." Jacobson claps his hands, looking around the table to see if anyone joins him, but he is left hanging.

"But," Eva adds, "Kalani is like my little sister, well is my little sister, and her children," she takes a sip and turns around and looks at us, "They are like my own. So, as stupid as it is, and as impulsive as it sounds, I will agree with your plan because the kids are shaken. All of them that is." She looks around the table.

"And travelling with unstable kids, and a pregnant woman will not do any of us any good. If anything, them being unstable will cause more damage then good." She continues.

"But, that shouldn't be reason why the plan changes, and all of this goes down the drain." Jacobson adds.

"I'm gonna to have to agree with them Jacobson, although your reasoning is fair." Felix spoke for the first time since we started with mini meeting.

"So, what's the plan?" Seven asks.

"The family takes one car, Johnathan will travel with Seven using the second route, and Jacobson will travel with Eva and Felix going the third route assigned to them. My dad is having his shipments coming in today, so his can only get people to escort us, halfway through town, the rest of the way will have to be on our own accord and survival skills." I explain.

"What about Alina, who will she travel with?" Johnathan inquires.

"Who wants to take her?" I ask.

"I can use another female on my travels. This is too much testosterone for me anyways." Eva volunteers.

"Okay, it's settled then. We land in about an hour," I estimated, "And during that hour, do what you have too because we don't know what will go on out there." I inform them.

"You making it sound like we going to die out there brother." Johnathan chuckles, placing his hand on my shoulder.

"I hope not mate, I really hope not." I stand up, ending the meeting, going to meet my kids to give them the delightful news that may or may not have us a dead.
