Montero's POV

We had just landed, and everything was going accordingly. Before we landed, I also told my dad to have the cars ready for us, and have someone check if they were not tampered with. My family's lives were on the line here. And without bickering, for once, he did as he was told.

Kalani was with the twins bidding Eva goodbye.

"You sure you don't wanna travel with us?" I hear her ask Eva.

"No, I'll be a guard dog for Alina. I could use some me time with her." Eva replies.

"Yeah sure. Just be safe okay?" I could sense the worry in her voice, and I won't lie and say that didn't break my heart a bit.

If anything, I was also terrified. This was it. This was the big bad plan that may or may not end our family.

"Come on babe, we need to leave." I usher her towards the car.

Before we get in the car though, we have our guys that we were travelling with check the cars once again. Blame it on my paranoia, but the safety of my people was more important than trusting that my dad did a good job at.

I'm not saying he would do anything, I just don't wanna leave room for regret. We get in the car and everyone else starts filling the car. But before the car leaves, I address them.

"Okay guys, I think we should have some semi-talk before we leave." I inform them and the car quiets down, and everyone looks at me.

"Since we are all traveling together, there are some precautions we need to take. For starters, your mother is gonna be our eyes throughout the ride, so please don't disturb her." They all nod.

Lady wife is now a master in computer software systems and let's just say she did a little some to the robots so we can have unrestricted passage throughout the city.

"Secondly, whatever happens, protect your mother and the twins, is that clear?"

"Yes sir." They all agree in unison.

"Thirdly, we are going to exchange cars, just in case we have people who have marked our car and have been tailing us." I explain to them. "We have a checkpoint at the beach front do prepare for that too guys." They all nod their heads in understanding.

"Lastly guys, remember our omerta." I end my two minute speech.

"Protect the family?" I ask.

"Protect each other!" They all reply and it's the only thing that assures me that this family is gonna make it.

"Do you guys really have to do this for me?" Eawa inquires.

"Off course," Cido intercepts. "In a way, we are doing it for us too. So all you have to do is just seat back, look pretty and enjoy the ride." The guys all laugh, and the tension that was building up dissolves.

"I love you guys." She utters.

"We love you too sis." They all reply, including the twins. There is a roaring laugher in the car and our cars begins to move.

We are riding a mini van and I was seating on the front seat with our driver, Ricky Want. I met Ricky ten years ago in a mafia shoot out. Don't ask, but my wife doesn't know about it because I almost died that night. Long story short, I survived a car explosion thanks to Ricky, and I saved his family from being murdered for saving me.

Now, that's not the type of story you tell your wife that you left the mafia for after your travels.

The next seat is taken by Enzo on the left side of the door, Kalani in the middle, and Charlie on the other end. The third seats is taken by Eawa and the twins, and the last one has Placido guarding us from behind.

Everyone had a gun in their possession except the twins, and everyone had a bullet proof, including Kalani. I had one made for her while we were traveling. And yes, I possess that much power to make things like that happen in a small amount of time.

And out of all of them, I knew that they would use it well. We leave the airport and everyone is on point to shoot whatever it is that may shoot at us, and protect the family. Our car is in the front, Johnathan decided to follow us and his wife of course, is on the third car.

After three miles of following each other, we split up and we take the route that goes by the sea, Johnathan and his people take the main route that passes through Sicilian town, and Eva takes the route that passes through the market.

Johnathan volunteered to take the that route as his wife had volunteered to take the main route and being the gentle man that he is, he couldn't let his wife travel in danger, while he had ' better chances of survival' as he put it.

We are all traveling in cars that not suspicious, and have decoys following us. So in total, we have nine decoy cars that all belong to my dad and his men, then there is our cars that look like locals. We also have radios that cover the whole city. So no matter how far we are from each other, we can communicate without a hassle.

"We are going to exchange cars when we reach the beach front which is in five minutes," I check my watch, "Everyone get ready."

"Yes sir." They reply.

"Alpha one checking in, over." I radio the guys checking if they are still good. "Is everything still okay over?"

"Phoenix one checking in, we good on our side over." Johnathan replies.

"Black Gin also checking in, the smell of baked muffins and curry spices is all I can see and smell over." Eva adds.

After hearing their voices, I exhaled breathe that I had unknowingly held on too.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine." Kalani mutters, placing her small hands on my arm.

"Thanks love." I whisper, placing my hand on top of hers.

"Black Gin here, this is rather too easy, don't you think?" She inquires.

"Alpha one responding, I may be a little rusty, but my planning is still considered the best don't you think?" I ask, noticing what she was asking was nothing but the truth because when it was too quiet, trouble wasn't far off.

"Phoenix here, I don't think you all that bad mate, you still got some, -" he cuts off.

"Phoenix one over." I check if he there, and no response.

"Phoenix one, do you read me, over?" I repeat, still no response.

"Black Gin, can you hear me?" She doesn't respond too.

"Black Gin, come in, can you hear me?" Still, nothing.

I look over to my wife, with nothing but panic written all over my face, and informs me of the worst news yet.

"There has been an outage. Someone just cut off our communication."
