Amanda speeds to the federal building only to get stopped by the roadblocks. It's then that she notices Aaron yelling and stops the car, turning to Reid. "Spencer, go to the new checkpoint."
"Amanda-"
"Spence, that's Aaron. I know his voice. I have to help him but they need you. Please." He looks at her, remembering their profile that the second bomb would hit the first round of first responders.
"Amanda, another bomb could go off and hit you. Be careful."
"The bomber might still be there, watching and gauging the response. That means that Aaron is in danger and who knows what happened to Kate. I promise that I'll be careful. Be safe and keep the team safe as well." He smiles at her as she gets out before moving into the driver's seat and heading to the FBI's new setup. Amanda, however, makes her way to the barrier, only to get stopped.
"You can't go in there," a man with a gun tells her, pointing it at her.
She glares at him. "You hear that man yelling? That's my brother. The woman he is trying to help is the head of the New York field office. I get that your job is to stop the first responders until the area is clear but I am a licensed medical professional and I can help them but you have to let me through."
"Ma'am," the leader growls and she snaps her glare to him.
"Fine, shoot me then," she commands, pushing her way through and heading to the barrier with her bag. When she finally makes it to them, she notices the kid with Aaron.
"Amanda, I need your help. We need to stop the bleeding," he tells her, looking up to notice her eyes on Sam. "This is Sam, he's been trying to help." Amanda nods, profiling that if he's on this side of the barrier and uninjured he must be the bomber but also that Kate's injuries are pretty bad.
"Okay, yeah," she tells him, getting down by him and helping him attempt to stop the bleeding.
"I feel cold. How cliche is that? I feel cold like in the cinema. No, not the cinema. You call it the movies here," Kate begins to ramble faintly.
"You're going to be fine, Kate, trust me. Aaron and I are going to help stop the bleeding while the area is cleared and then everything is going to be fine," Amanda comforts her and Kate faintly smiles at her.
"And here I thought you didn't like me."
"I don't like people that hurt my friends. You were beginning to fall into that category but even if I didn't like you, that doesn't mean I want you dead." The dying blonde chuckles before slowly passing out. The Hotchner siblings try to stop the bleeding with Hotch periodically calling to try and get an ambulance to come through but nobody does. Eventually, Morgan makes it and Amanda focuses on her brother.
"I have to let go for a second, okay," she mumbles and he frowns as Morgan makes his way over and Amanda lets go, tackling Sam and cuffing him.
"Amanda!" Aaron shouts.
"He's the bomber, Air. Look at him, he's completely scratch-free. Trust me," he nods as Morgan's phone rings. He answers and Garcia tells him the same thing.
"Damn, Princess, you are spot on. I'll take him. You stay with Hotch and Joyner."
"Planned on it, Chocolate Thunder," she retorts and he shakes his head as she makes her way back to Kate and resumes putting pressure on the wound but she knows that it isn't helping and prays that they get things cleared soon. Hotch begins to go back to calling for help and as much as it annoys Amanda, she can tell that it comforts him so she ignores it until they finally hear the sound of an ambulance. They look up to see a paramedic.
