A week after the case in Texas where Amanda had to confront her past, they had a short case in Montana where a woman was going around breaking into houses and killing happy couples because her husband had cheated on her before leaving her. Amanda didn't really understand the woman's reasoning because as much as it must suck to be cheated on, it didn't seem like anyone else's fault but her husband's and she didn't even start killing until he left her.

The blonde shakes the thoughts away as she goes back to doing her paperwork as not doing it on the jet was no longer an option given that she was doing both her and Aaron's work. Spencer looks up from his book and notices that she's the only other person awake so he approaches her. "What are you doing for Christmas this year?" He asks immediately and she briefly glances at him before looking back at the paperwork.

"Same thing I've done since Ev died. I'm going to spend it with Krissy and her parents. Aaron will be joining us with Jack this year since Haley agreed that they would do their Christmas with Jessica on Christmas Eve. What about you?"

"Probably going to curl up on my couch and watch Dr. Who. Maybe read a book or stare at my ceiling as I remember the extravagant Christmas Parties you used to throw in college," he jokes but Amanda frowns.

"You not going to Vegas?" He shakes his head sadly.

"Christmas always agitates my mom because my dad left in the winter. She's never done well during December and January."

"You can be my plus one to dinner at the Lewis household if you want. Kristen's dad would love you. He used to be a pharmaceutical rep which is how they got so much money but he loves history. Frank always used to say that if being a teacher paid enough to raise a family then he would've been a history teacher. They didn't come from money like we did though so he had to do something that paid a lot."

"What did her mom do?"

"Sold drugs," Amanda answers.

"Oh, so she was a pharmaceutical rep too?"

"Nope." He frowns before it hits him and his face contorts into shock, making Amanda giggle. "She doesn't deal anymore but she did when we were growing up."

"So that how you always had marijuana in college."

"That was Lacey's stash. You know, considering all the stuff I made you do and did myself, it's a miracle that we still have brain cells left."

"I guess we had a lot to spare," he jokes before glancing around the jet once more and clearing his throat. "Do you want to go out with me?" Amanda frowns.

"Where? Like for drinks after the case?"

"No, like a date," Spencer returns, his face turning a slight pink as if he had been outside in a sharp wind.

"Oh. When?"

"I don't know." His embarrassment was growing more and more as he began to think that Amy was searching for an excuse to say no.

"How about tomorrow? I can pick you up 20 minutes after work. I know where we can go." Spencer frowns before realizing that she was saying yes.

"Really?" He asks excitedly and she grins.

"Of course. I've never been on a real date with you."

"We used to go to the movies all the time," he points out.

"As friends," she counters.

"I don't know how many friends give their friend a blowjob during the movie," he retorts.

"You chose boring movies."

"I chose Star Wars!"

"I don't like Star Wars or Star Trek. For all your talk about how we shouldn't do that in public, you always chose a movie that would get you a blowjob." He grins, knowing that she's right as he always went with James to see the movie before taking Amanda. Finally, he looks at the mound of paperwork she's doing and offers to do half. She grins before handing it to him with a brief explanation.
