The next morning, Derek Morgan's alarm goes off at the same time it always does and he curses himself for not adjusting the time as Amanda lives significantly closer to the FBI academy than he does. Despite this fact, he doesn't believe he'll be able to go back to sleep so he gets up for the day. He grabs some clothes out of his duffle bag to change into after his shower before leaving the guest bedroom and heading to Amanda's room to check on her. He's careful to open the door quietly so as not to wake the blonde that may kill him if he does wake her up.

As soon as the door opens, however, Morgan lets out a small chuckle when he notices that Amanda isn't alone. He takes in the scene before him of Amanda tucked into her bed and cuddled against Reid who is sleeping in the same clothes he wore to work yesterday on top of Amanda's blanket. Spencer has her pulled into his body with both arms wrapped around her in a protective manner. Morgan gets out his phone and takes a quick picture before quietly closing the door and heading to take a shower.

Once his shower is finished, he hears another alarm go off that's quickly shut off. Morgan puts the coffee on before creeping back to Amanda's room and opening the door to see the bed missing Reid. He hears the machine chime and hurries to get a cup before resuming his position against the door frame of Amanda's room. When Spencer opens the door to the ensuite, he jumps in surprise, nearly dropping the towel he's holding around his waist. "Well good morning, Pretty Boy," Morgan whispers as Spencer curses himself for not bringing his go-bag into the bathroom with him.

Spencer's eyes dart to Amanda who is still sleeping before going back to Morgan who's staring at his abdomen, making Spencer frown before remembering his tattoo. He quickly hurries to his go-bag before heading back into the bathroom to dress. The moment he's finished, he leaves the bathroom and ushers Morgan out of Amanda's bedroom so as to not wake her up. "What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you even up? It's only a 15-minute drive to the academy with traffic," he scolds and Morgan laughs quietly.

"What are you angry I interrupted your little sleepover?" He taunts. "Speaking of, does Hotch know that you have a tattoo of his little sister's name on the exact same spot she has her tattoo? I didn't think you had it in you kid."

"First of all, I came over to comfort Amanda because I remember how bad it was for her when she first got to Caltech. Nothing happened, trust me when I say that Amanda was in no mood for any type of intimacy. As for the tattoo, I got mine the same time she did when I was drunk off my ass just like her. That's why they're in the same place and hers says Vegas because that's what she called me in college. Now I need to leave and you need to pretend that you didn't see me because I was supposed to leave before you woke up and Amanda's having a hard enough time without having to worry that you'll tell Garcia that we're sleeping together when we're not."

Morgan studies his friend before nodding, sparing a glance back to Amanda's bedroom door knowing that he's right. This case isn't easy for Amanda no matter how much she pretends it doesn't bother her. "Okay, and you're a good friend, Reid. She's lucky to have you."

"Only sometimes," he answers honestly. "I just hope we find whoever did it before things get too bad for Amy." Derek nods in agreement before Spencer gives him an awkward smile. "Well, I'll see you at work and make sure she eats something because when she gets upset or worried, she forgets to eat." With that, Spencer leaves the apartment quietly while Derek stands there thinking about the tattoo and realizing that Spencer's feelings went deeper than he thought if he had kept that tattoo.

The workday was going as well as the previous one. They had been in for three hours and no matter what name Garcia ran or how many, they couldn't find a viable suspect. Kristen had taken up residence in Hotch's office after he talked to her the prior day and she came in to confront Amanda for going to the police when they were kids and not telling her. She was angry that she had gone through it all alone to protect Kristen. It didn't take long for them to get over it.
