Two weeks after Spencer had told Amanda about his worries, their 'war' got worse. He wanted Amanda to feel pleasure but he didn't want to get too consumed with his own and it was really pissing Amy off. This is why, during the last case they work, when Spencer tried to make her feel better she snapped. "No," she told him making Spencer frown.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to try and-"
"No, it has nothing to do with that it has to do with you being irrational and trying to convince yourself that the reason things didn't work out well last time was because we were having sex when we both know that we weren't really having a relationship. All we were doing was having sex. This time is different because we're actually talking and going out on dates. We're doing good and having sex isn't going to change that but until you realize that neither one of us is doing anything."
"I don't understand," he states in confusion.
"Until you get over yourself and let me get you off, you're not getting me off." He looks at her before laughing. "What?"
"I just think it's funny that you think you can last longer than me in this stupid war you're starting."
"A) you started it and B) of course I can last longer than you."
"Amanda you've never gone longer than a couple of weeks without sex. I've gone years. I can beat you easily," he challenges.
"The whole problem is that we aren't having sex, Spencer, and I can last longer than you, and to prove it, I think we should make it interesting."
"How so?"
"We can't get ourselves off either," she answers with eyebrows raised. Spencer looks at her with a frown before deciding that he could do it because he knew that she would cave first.
"Deal." She grins knowing that she had him right where she wanted him.
_____________
About a week after that, they worked a tough case in New Hampshire where someone was breaking into homes of single women in their early 20s and raping and killing them. To help the team relax, Rossi invited them all to his mansion so he could cook them a fancy dinner while they drink expensive wine. The offer was too good to turn down so they all gladly got dressed in nice clothes before heading over.
Amanda was the first to arrive, having already been to the mansion, promptly offering her services with dinner but Rossi turned her down. He told her to enjoy herself and so she sat at the island in his kitchen and talked to him until Aaron arrived. Aaron joins in the conversation before Emily arrives and Amanda begins a separate conversation with her. It doesn't take long for the rest of the team to show up, Spencer being the last.
When Spencer arrives, Rossi still isn't done making dinner so they all linger around, Spencer slowly drifting closer to Amy. So when the dinner is finally done, Spencer sits next to Amanda during dinner. The team all jokes and laugh while they eat and as Amanda puts another forkful in her mouth, Spencer places his hand on her thigh, laughing at something Morgan says. Amanda is careful to school her facial expression as his hand moves up and down her thigh.
This wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for the fact that she had decided to wear a shortish dress with no tights despite the cold weather. Lucky for her and unlucky for him, Amanda is good at pretending to not feel things when she in fact does so no matter how close his hand gets to the place she craves him the most, she keeps up with the conversation. She doesn't even flinch. What she does do is plan on how to get him back. Something she's able to do when he excuses himself to the bathroom.
She discreetly pulls her phone out under the table and texts Kristen. Call me now~A
