Arnav's P.O.V.

.

When I uttered about planning something to make her family payback, Khushi uttered sternly, "No. I don't want you to do anything to them."

I sarcastically uttered, "Why? Because they are your family?"

She kept silent for some moments and then while shaking her head, she uttered, "No. I am not going to say it's because they are my family. I know they never were. But I just feel if I don't forgive them for being like this to me, it means I am willing to dwell on my past while turning back against my future.

I don't want it, Arnav. I don't want to dwell on my past or think of the bitter memories anymore. So if it takes me to forgive them to move on with my life then I will happily do it.

Because I really want to walk forward, Arnav. Leaving the bitter memories behind, I want to start afresh and live happily in my new life. Can't I do that?"

I kept staring at her for a while and then smilingly nodded at her as I uttered, "Well, there is nothing more classy or powerful than showing forgiveness and grace to someone who does not deserve it."

Hearing me, she smiled. I was about to start the car but remembering something, I got stopped and asked Khushi, "Khushi, can I ask you something?"

When she nodded at that, I uttered, "What were you planning of doing to get cancelled of our marriage that even by asking me to say yes?"

Khushi kept looking down as she answered, "I wanted to leave."

Not getting her words, I again asked her, "Leave? Leave to where?"

"London. To Payel. I wanted to leave this country forever." hearing her saying this, I got totally silent and after some moment, I uttered, "I thought I helped you that night but I had no idea that I almost made you homeless."

Khushi looked up at me and uttered with a little bit of smile, "No Arnav. To become homeless I had to have a home first. After ammi, I had no home here."

I asked her with a hopeful mind, "What about now?"

"Alhamdulillah and thanks to you too, I have a home now and I am really grateful to have you people in my life. I didn't even imagine my life would be like this one day. Thank you, Arnav."

Hearing her, I uttered, "You are welcome." started driving putting on a smile.

Arriving at her college, I stopped the car. When she was about to get down, I asked her, "When you will be done?"

Khushi got thinking for some moment and then spoke up, "I am not sure."

Nodding at that, I uttered, "Text me when you are almost done. I will come to pick you up."

"Arnav, it's okay. I can go by myself." as she uttered this, I kept staring at her only to get her uttering to my irritation, "Arnav, I was always on my own, you know. So I can manage. You don't bother."

I spoke up then, "That's what I am trying to let you know that you are not just on your own anymore. And it's not a bother, Khushi. You get that?"

She kept staring at me for some moments and then nodded.

I smilingly uttered, "Text me."

Nodding at me, she got down and forwarded towards the entrance of her college campus and I kept staring at her until she got out of my sight and then forwarded towards my office.
