Happy one-year anniversary!!!
It's been exactly a year since I started this account and writing this. So without further ado, here's a chapter to celebrate! <3
Not long after that were we sitting in Ichiraku's Ramen Shop having a laughing fit over a bowl of ramen. Naruto was still wearing Iruka-sensei's headband and Teuchi said the Ramen was on the house tonight to celebrate, which made Naruto panic because he hadn't realized I graduated also until I showed him my headband and he started crying and we had our hugging sappy moment before our ramen came.

"Precious! I'm home!" I call entering the house with bags on my arms.
"Welcome home!" Naruto hollers from the bedroom. I close the door with my foot and enter the kitchen, setting down the bags and putting groceries away. I could hear Naruto giggling mischievously from the other room. Once I have everything put away, I wash my hands and head for the bedroom, locking the front door as I pass it.
I stand in the doorway, eyebrows raised. Naruto's goggles are off and he's sitting in front of the mirror in the corner of the room with paint beside him and his face and hands covered in white paint. His headband laying neatly on the bedside table. He didn't want to get it dirty so he decided not to wear it yet. I changed the cloth on mine to white last night and have it hanging around my neck. Naruto's dot also went from white to green last night, the orange outline still there.
"And just what do you think you're doing?" I smile at him humorously, my arms crossed.
"I'm getting ready for my identification photo, believe it!" He responds, dipping the brush in the red paint and looking around his face trying to decide where to start.
I pierce my lips for a second as he brings the brush to his face. "...can I help?"
"Believe it!"
A grin overturns my face.

I hum slightly as I bob my head back and forth to my music while waiting outside the room for Naruto's lecture to be over. He's getting lectured for the paint- props to him for not ratting me out for helping. He's always pretty good at keeping me out of trouble when it comes to me helping him out with his antics. When a little boy, a few years younger than me stands a few feet away, I smile at him.
"You need something?" I tilt my head at him, he's only about a few inches shorter than me, wearing a yellow leaf village shirt, long blue scarf, some kind of helmet or hat with his hair sticking out the top, ninja shoes, and off-white capris.
"Um," He shifts his weight, eyes flickering to the door for a second.
"The room is currently being used, sorry." I explain, in a polite tone.
"I know, my grandfather is in there and I need to challenge him for the title of Hokage!" He yells but seems like he's trying to be quiet nonetheless. I blink, then give a soft smile.
"Oh ok. I won't get in the way, proceed." I motion the door and step back from it.
"You're not going to try and stop me?" He looks at me confused.
"No? Why would I?" I question with a head tilt. "What's your name anyway? My name's Rei."
"My name? You wanna know my name? For real?" His jaw slacks and his eyes temporarily widen.
"Um, yeah? That's kinda why I asked." I giggle at him.
"My name's Konohamaru, after the ancient name for the village." He responds, getting closer to the door.
