Skylar's P.O.V

We finally arrived at school: Harrington Academy. Have I mentioned Louis is a slow driver? Yeah, well, he is. Louis parked the car, and I got out with him following behind me. I looked around before walking inside, because I like to take notice of my surroundings, unlike other people who just look down on their phones all the time. Then I spot several couples making out – Okay Gross, not making out – sucking each other's faces – ew. I cringed in disgust and looked away, making my way towards the main entrance, I walked inside alongside my brothers. A perky brunette girl gave me the warmest smile at me, which I returned. Louis began whining about the Football tryouts and I decided to walk away from my brothers and look for the room where my Math lesson would be held.

I then realise that I am clueless and decide to ask someone where it is, find myself looking for the brunette girl in the crowd.

"Hi, excuse me," I say as soon as I walk up to her.

"Hi! I'm Piper, you must be new?" She asks smiling at me - as far as first impression go, she seems nice.

"Yeah, Hey, I'm Skylar! It's really nice to meet you!" And for once I really meant the whole 'It's nice to meet you' thing, I hear my brother in the background, and I see Piper glancing at them "OH, right!" I said slapping my hand over my head.

"Uh, these morons over there," I said pointing to my brothers. She laughed and looked at them with a smile, they approached us as soon as they saw I had drifted away from them. "...Are, unfortunately my brothers, this is Louis and this is Logan," I introduced them.

"Nice to meet you," Louis replied smiling, showing off his white, perfectly aligned teeth, something I did not inherit from mum.

"Yeah, you too," she replied, smiling back at him.

"Uh, yeah, nice to meet you Pipes!" Logan replied. Pipes? What the hell?

"Pipes?" she questions, giggling.

"Yep! That's your new nickname." He says, chuckling.

"I like it!" she says, laughing. "I don't mean to be rude but you look a bit too old for high school," She says, looking at Logan.

"Yeah, Logan thought he'd blow off the first day of college after the summer break to visit the school," I said, as I rolled my eyes, because If I had the opportunity to get rid of my family at college I would take it. I like this girl already, and have I told you Logan sucks at nicknames? Well yeah, now you know.

"Skai, there are three months in a term. I'm pretty sure they won't miss me for one day!" He sighed.

"Well geez, fine! Excuse me for worrying about your education, my bad!" I said sounding like my mother.

"Ignore her, like I do," Logan said to Piper. I gave him a playful punch in his shoulder and he pretended to be hurt.

"So, are you guys in any clubs yet?" She asked, looking in between all of us. We all shake our heads, simultaneously.

"Considering we just walked in, I'm going to have to say no," I grinned.

"Oh right, silly me. You have to be into at least two clubs, or be on a team! It's the school policy,"

Well that's a relatively stupid policy.

"Like football (Soccer in USA or Australia ;) )?" Louis questions.

"Yeah, like football! There are actually going to be T-" She started by saying.

"Tryouts!?" he cut her off. "Yeah, I know!" he said, excited.
