“Crazy bastard.” Zach sighed, “Lightblade’s not usually as reckless.”

“Really? This sounds about normal for him.” Kennedy grinned, hands on her hips. “I mean, he challenged two governments by himself and walked away from it.”

“What happened on Wyrmrest was not what he had originally planned.” Zach said dryly, “He didn’t expect the governments to retaliate.”

Mika whispered in my ear, “They’re talking about an incident that occurred a few years ago. Lightblade fought against both the Shaimem and Tanen governments, simply to unite them under one banner.”

Chynna folded her arms. “I never heard about what happened there.”

“I was there.” Zach said, glancing at the monk. “We’re trying to get him to start a guild because of what happened.”

“A guild?” JJ frowned, glancing at me. I shrugged, thankful that I wasn’t the only one totally lost.

“It’s an organization that runs on a special system.” Mika said, frowning slightly.  “Didn’t Lightblade say he wouldn’t ever join or make one?”

“On camera?” Zach paced, “Yes. He did. But lately, Hunaria, Koteki and I have been pressuring him to create one. He managed to get an army of over two thousand individuals together in mere days – and many of them weren’t even human. He knows people of all the races.”

Mika twirled a strand of her hot pink hair around her finger. “And that’s who’s coming to help us. Someone with the power to do all of that.”

“Oh, he has more power than any of you know.” Zach’s expression darkened, “Trust me.” Then, he turned towards exit and walked out the front door.

The rest of stood there in silence for a few minutes.

“Well, I guess we should get working.” JJ said.

I nodded in agreement, “Places to be, things to kill.”

“Ohhh no you don’t.” Mika said, grabbing my arm. “You two are going to get some rest. You went through hell last night and I don’t want to break you.”

Chynna nodded in agreement, standing in front of JJ. “Not today. Let us deal with it.”

                JJ and I exchanged glances.

The gamer shrugged, “Day off? Sounds good to me.”

Mika rolled her eyes, “Come on, Akaya.”

“I thought you just said we had a break?” I complained, but the cuff on my wrist was starting to tighten.

“Just come on.” She sighed, grabbing my arm and pulling me as she walked. I glanced back at JJ, but he was already talking to Chynna. Kennedy grinned and waved as Mika dragged me off.

Mika and I made our way upstairs in silence. I felt like she wanted to say something, but she was waiting. We reached her room, and the two of us entered. She locked the door behind us.
