Our group was sitting inside of a large eight-person garris. Anderson was at the wheel, with Mika sitting in the codriver's seat. Vida and I sat together in the middle, and JJ sat in the far back. We were driving through suburbs, everything was quiet and there seemed to be very little activity.

"So." Anderson began, hands still on the wheel of the garris. "I should probably brief you on what your goal will be tonight. To put it simply – your job will be to clear the building while attempting contact with whatever still resides there." He glanced back at us, "The building has a bad history. There were several murders on-site, and apparently rituals were held in the cellar. Rituals meant to summon demons and spirits."

Mika looked back at me, "That's why we can't be too careful here, Akaya. Notice how none of us carry weapons? It's to make sure we do not provoke whatever is there on accident. "

JJ frowned, "So that's why you made me leave my darts back at the mansion."

Vida sighed, "Most of the time we don't let familiars come either, since most of them originate from the same plane of existence demons and spirits come from." She winked at me, "But you're special."

I think my face reddened. I'm not sure why, but it did.

Mika coughed, "Anyways, we won't leave the building until we're sure it's been cleared. "

"We have tools to clear it." Vida added.

"Here's the building, coming up on the left." Anderson said, "You kids be safe in there, alright?"

"Safe isn't in the job description." JJ muttered.

I looked out the window to see the butchery. It was an interesting building, shaped like a cube and two rectangles on their sides. It also had a garage attached to it. The building itself was colored grey and brown, and seemed to be made of stone. A large window was in the front, beside the door. A sign hung inside of the window.

We made our way up the long driveway which lead to the butchery.  Anderson stopped about a dozen feet from the building, and looked at us one more time. "Good luck."

"You're not sticking around?" I frowned.

"I'll be back to pick you up in the morning." He said, "Just try to make it through the night."

The garris's wheels screeched as Anderson performed a swift turn, then drove off into the suburbs, leaving us standing in front of the butchery.

Mika and Vida began to walk towards the door to the building.

JJ glanced at me. "Guess we don't have a choice but to follow."

                I frowned. "You do, but I don't."

"Ah, we'll stick together." He grinned. "C'mon, the girls are already at the door."

We made our way to the front of the butchery. Mika glanced at me, "You may want to turn on that camera now."

Vida took out a flashlight, and Mika pulled out a small rectangular device.

I pulled out my camera and turned it on, then pressed the record button. Immediately after, I found the night vision switch and flipped it.
