Warning! This is a fairly long one, over 4000 words. For ages I didn't have any inspiration for this one, then it all came spilling out at once and I couldn't stop.

"Kenma? Kenma! Kenma!" I called out to my brother, shaking his arm as he attempted to play on his PC. He was doing a very good job of ignoring me but I was persistent, and he finally gave in.

"What?" He asked gruffly, taking his headphones off.

"What time is Kuro coming over today?" I asked desperately, keen to see my brothers close friend again. Kenma just rolled his eyes and went back to his game.

"Soon," he said simply and I pouted.

"How soon is soon?" I asked, shaking his arm again.

"Soon, okay?" He was seconds away from shouting and despite it being rare, his shouting never fazed me.

"Hmph. Fine!" I turned on my heel and walked out of my brothers room, back towards mine where I sat by the window which overlooked the street in front of our house. I was looking out for Kuro, already excited for his arrival.

I was seven year old (y/n) Kozume, and was three academic years younger than my brother. My brothers best friend was four academic years older than me, but I still had the biggest silly crush on the boy and adored being in his presence. My crush on him started when he saved me from being ran over by a truck, pulling me back onto the pavement just in time. We both fell backwards, me landing on top of him, whilst Kenma stood idly by having no idea what was seconds away from happening. "(y/n)! Are you okay?" Kuro had asked desperately, helping me up. I was slightly tearful due to the fright but I nodded, hugging him tightly when I realised he saved my life. That was a few months ago, and I was now crushing on him so hard that I was planning on making him a Valentines Day card.

When I saw his familiar messy hair come into view I immediately jumped up and ran down the stairs, swinging open the door to see him opening the garden gate. "Kuro!" I exclaimed happily, always excited to see him despite attending the same school and seeing him regularly there.

"Hey (y/n)! You alright?" He asked happily as he approached. I smiled brightly and nodded, happy he could come over again today, like every day. Him arriving was always my favourite part of the day.

"C'mon, lets go play a game!" I grabbed his hand and dragged him inside, up to Kenma's room.

"Hey Kuro. You can tell her to go away if she's irritating you," Kenma said and I pouted.

"It's okay, I like your little sister," he smiled down at me and I couldn't help but smile brightly, feeling utterly elated at his words.

"Too bad I only have two controllers," Kenma said simply and my smile turned into a pout.

"Can't she sit and watch?" Kuro suggested.

"No, she's annoying," Kenma said and I stomped my foot angrily.

"There's no need to be mean Kenma!" I shouted.

"Just go make your own friends instead of stealing mine," Kenma spoke as though Kuro wasn't in the room.

"Hey! He's my friend too! He'll be my husband soon!" I exclaimed, grabbing Kuro's arm.

"Pfft, yeah right," Kenma scoffed and I felt tears come to my eyes. I turned sharply on my heels, storming from his room and heading to mine, slamming the door shut behind me. Trying to keep in mind the fact that Kuro said he liked me, I started to work on his Valentines Day card, the day being only a week away.

"Kenma? When's Kuro getting here?" I asked my brother who was, like always, sat in front of his PC.
