"IT'S OVER JJ!" You had yelled at JJ who was standing at your porch, begging for your forgiveness. He didn't want to give up, but neither did you, so you two were fighting for almost an hour until you finally slammed the door on his face after saying those 3 words (NOT 'I love you' before y'all say anything lol)....

"Y/N I was drunk, it didn't mean anything I swear!" He desperately told you.

"Oh save the fucking lies JJ" You threw your hands out. There was no way he would get away with this. You knew your own worth.

"I'm sorry I'm so sorry...she's nothing to me"

"She was supposed to be your best friend! And you were supposed to be my loyal boyfriend. Things aren't as they seem JJ, you're certainly the master of proving that!" You went off. What was the point of holding back?

"Y/N I promise it meant nothi-" He started to talk shit again, so you interrupted him.

"But even if it did mean nothing, you still did it. You kissed another girl...you kissed my best friend"

He nodded. "I'm so sorry" He mumbled, tears welling in his eyes.

"That won't cut it JJ" You snapped.

"Then what will?"

You paused for a moment, looking into his heartbroken eyes. JJ's been through so much, and it had always hurt you to see him cry, but you couldn't forgive him for this. You just couldn't.

"Nothing" You finally let out in defeat, "Nothing will cut it"

JJ stared at you, his jaw clenched.

"But let me guess, you're gonna forgive Kiara in a millisecond"

You frowned at him. He had no right to comment on your friendship with Kiara. Besides, he was wrong.

"Of course not" You responded, opening your mouth to say something else but only to be stopped by JJ going off on one again.

"Yeah you will, I know you will! I make one little mistake and-"

"Little mistake?" You fired over him. "LITTLE MISTAKE?" You then couldn't help but yell, making JJ jump a little bit.

"I didn't mean that..."

"JJ just please go. It's over" You asked politely and quietly. He didn't move. He stayed right in front of you, his pleading face not making it easy for you to shut him out (quite literally).

"Y/N I love-"

"ITS OVER JJ!"

It's been 3 months since the breakup. Yes, you read that right; 3 months. One of those months was spent at school, avoiding Kiara but not having to avoid JJ because he never appeared. Then you broke up for summer break.

It would be a lie to say you didn't struggle for the initial couple of weeks after the breakup. You were crying on your brother's shoulder every morning and every night. You avoided going out, and so did John B, which made him a little cranky too. It was just such a mess.

You asked after JJ, but John B had no idea. He completely went off the radar.

A couple weeks before summer break, one of Rafe's friends befriended you. You started to hang out with her and her friends, including Rafe and Kelce. It was nowhere near as fun as the Pogue life, and you hated the fact that Rafe and Kelce were around, but at least you weren't alone.

Sarah found out and begged John B to make you ditch them.

You refused.

Maybe it was your way of getting back at JJ? You didn't actually know. You just had this urge to always be with them. To not be lonely. To not have to think of the pain, and the absence of the boy you still loved.

"Where you going?" John B called out from his room after hearing you scurry around the chateau for your keys.

"Out!" You shouted back.

You could hear John B open his door and rush out of his room. He did this every time you were about to leave the chateau. He was paranoid, but he knew he couldn't do anything about it.

"Out where?" He challenged you.

You rolled your eyes. "Amy wants to go shopping. I said I'd go with her"

"But you hate shopping-"

"Well I like it now!" You snapped. John B said nothing, he just stared at you.

"See ya" You said, putting your new (and very ugly) handbag that Any had given you around your shoulder. John B very obviously cringed at the sight of it, but you ignored him and walked out the door.

At the shopping mall, Amy was scanning through the makeup.

You had zero interest. Literally zero. You were daydreaming about surfing instead. About that one time when you had an accident, and JJ carried you out of the water and stayed with you at the hospital. About that other time when you were both sat on your boards on the calm, late waves, and JJ leaned in to kiss you but flipped himself over and into the water instead.

You let out a giggle at the thought. Amy turned to you and gave you a dirty look. "What's funny?"

"Nothin" You shook your head, picking up what looked like lipgloss, but you later found out it was eyebrow gel. Amy gave you a huge lecture on how to tell the difference.

15 minutes later and she finally finished browsing.

Just as you walked out the store, you accidentally
bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry!" "Oh sorry!" You both let out, before going silent when you realised who it was.

Kiara.

"Y/N" She said, giving you a little smile. You honestly didn't know what to say. You were frozen. You wanted to dig a hole and bury yourself in it. Just the sight of her made you uneasy.

"How are you?" She then asked.

"Good. All things considered, anyways" You said with a slight bit of sass.

Kiara nodded, twisting her lips aside.

"Y/N I wanted to talk to you, I just had no idea what to say" She tried to explain. You knew it was all bullshit, and actually, you were more mad at her than you were at JJ.

"So you've been thinking of what to say to me for 3 months?" You asked.

"I feel awful-"

"You are awful, Kiara. What you did was awful, not just to me but to JJ too, and you're an awful person for it" You interrupted her to say. She was playing with her fingers, clearly feeling uncomfortable. You, however, stood up tall and brave.

"Please forgive me Y/N. I'll do anything" She begged.

"You took all the happiness I had Kiara. So no, I won't forgive you" And with that, you walked straight past her, Amy's arm linked with yours. Kiara didn't follow, she just stared at you with tears in her eyes....
