2 year anniversary🤍

You pulled up at John B's chateau after a long shift at work. You were disappointed that you couldn't spend yours and JJ's 2 year anniversary with him so you miserably slammed your car door and trod to the porch. You weren't expecting JJ to be home until at least 12 since he had a late shift.

"Hey Y/N" John B appeared in the doorway.

"Hey" You forced a smile, beginning to take your shoes off.

"Ah no! Keep them on" He rushes to say, coming out onto the porch and closing the door behind him.

You huffed and ran your fingers through your hair. "John B I just wanna-" You started to groan before he interrupted you.

"Put this on" He ordered, holding out his bandana. You frowned and took it off him, beginning to tie it in your hair. "No you idiot, put it over your eyes" He laughed.

You did what was told, John B coming behind you and walking you straight for about 3 minutes.

You then felt wood on your feet, knowing it must be a dock.

"Alllllright, count to ten and then take it off" He said before you heard him rush off away.

"John B!" You called after him, worried it was a prank.

After counting to 10, you took the blindfold off to see JJ standing on the HMS Pogue deck with flowers in his hand. The boat was lit with pretty lights and he had made a pillow and blanket den in the corner as well as a table and 2 chairs with candles burning.

You grinned and chuckled, moving closer to the boat.

"Happy 2 years baby" He said, holding his hand out.

You took it and he helped you in the boat. You wrapped your arms around his neck and rose on your tip toes, kissing JJ deeply.

"This is amazing" You whispered, loosening yourself from him to study his romantic work. "How long did it take?"

JJ sat on the edge of the boat and crossed his legs.

"Like 5 hours or so. Kie had to teach me how to cook the food aswell"

You glanced over at the plate full of little bite size snacks that were perfectly organised. "You're amazing" You smiled, taking the flowers from his hand to smell them, "And these are so pretty"

"Thanks I grew them myself" He said, making you laugh lightly.

"Is this champagne?"

JJ nodded, a proud look on his face. You were usually used to cheap beer because anything else was always super expensive. Immediately, you worried that all of this had cost JJ too much to do.

"JJ how much did this cos-"

"Nah ah ah" He interrupted you, getting up and putting his hands on your waist. He guided you to one of the seats and pulled it out for you. "Just...relax"

You grinned and sat down, watching him do the same. You admired your gorgeous boyfriend, asking yourself how anyone could be so perfect.

You two talked and laughed until you had eaten everything.

"More champagne?" JJ asked. You nodded with a smile. He got up and grabbed the bottle, pouring more in your glass before putting it down on the table and leaning into you. You kissed him gently.

When you knew things were going to escalate, you got yourself up from the chair, your hands around JJ's neck and your lips on his, and you both somehow found your way to the little den he had made.

You both bent your knees, lips still attached, as you eased yourselves to the floor.

The kiss grew more and more passionate, but it wasn't rough. Not like it usually is. It was slow and full of emotion. It was the perfect mood for an anniversary night.

"I love you" JJ paused to say. "I really love you Y/N"

Growing up with a complete lack of love, yours and JJ's relationship was like a saviour. He was so appreciative of you. You taught him how to show his love again.

"I love you" You responded, pulling him close to you again...

30 minutes went by. You had fallen asleep in each others arms under the blankets out of exhaustion but also just because of how peaceful everything was. Your eyes fluttered open to see JJ awake, staring up at the stars.

You reached your arm up and ran your fingers through his hair.

He looked down at you with a smile. "Pretty sky" You said to him. He nodded. "Imagine how many other people are looking at it right now"

"Imagine how many people are taking a shit right now" He suddenly said, ruining the mood because...well, because it's JJ?

You chuckled.

"2 years together huh? You'd think I would've killed you by now" You joked, making JJ grin.

"Nahh you plotted that for our three year remember?" He played along. Being able to bounce off eachother was something you and JJ were always admired for. Everyone could see how similar you both were, how well you got along.

"Oh yeah. Silly me"
