Arc 1 - 3: Holy Lyre, Holy Liar

Several knights exited the lower chambers of the cathedral. Mono glided across the shadows of the wall and behind the door to the chambers below. The lamps and lights in the church were all blown out, giving Mono's stealth a boost.

He descended the spiral stairs with enhanced speed, giving a boost of wind under his feet, and rolled behind a solid railing. He peeked over and saw only six guards were on night duty.

"I thought he said they're were off at night..." Mono said with a quiet sigh. Mono saw circular room at the very end of the chambers and smiled. He began glitching, before teleporting right at the entrance.

Mono reached out for the Holy Lyre, which sat in a podium for display, but was intercepted by a woman in a dark purple robe, a black mask covering her eyes, and a unique hood covering her lime green hair. She giggled as Mono grew worried, and paced around him.

Mono kept quiet and glitched behind her, attempting to snatch the Lyre, but she evaded quickly, almost falling into his grasp. Mono glitched after her, but she also began teleporting away, the two going in circles with Mono giving her no break.

She soon started panting, and Mono lunged for the Lyre once more. With her last but of stamina, she growled and teleported out of the cathedral. Mono but his lip in sadness, not knowing what to do. To make matters worse...

"FREEZE! What are you doing here?!" A knight shouted from behind him. Mono threw up his hood and jumped at the wall before bouncing off at the knight, and teleporting behind him, making the man flinch.

Mono sped past the rest of the knights, the knights only catching glimpses of black in the dimly lit underground. Mono made it back to the spiral stairs and began running up the wall instead of the stairs, and flew out of the chambers and into the aisle.

A nun watched the pitch black figure dash out of the cathedral, and stared in shock. Seconds after, the knights ran in the same direction, making her heavily confused.

Venti was sitting on the railing just outside the cathedral, and Mythra was leaning against it beside him.

"Wonder how he's doing..." Mythra said quietly. "He's probably fi—" Venti started, but heard the large double doors bust open.

"Run!" Mono said hopping over the railing. "What?!" Mythra shouted is disbelief. "Mono! Some wind!" Venti shouted seeing the knights exiting the cathedral as well. Mono flung his hands outward, blowing his large black cloak up, blocking the knights view from Venti and Mythra, as well as creating a small gust of wind.

Venti extended his wind glider, and Mythra did the same. The two began using the current Mono created to fly away, and Mono held his hand out towards the two to make them appear to be distorted. A knight rushed at Mono, and swung his blade at him, but Mono flipped forward and onto the railing, before pushing off with his hand and following after the two with his ability to fly.

In a popular tavern in Mondstadt, a bartender spoke to his boss.

"Master Diluc, this is this week's accounts." The bartender said handing a man with long wavy red hair a stack of papers. The man grumbled and sighed. "The disaster has greatly affected business." Diluc said analyzing the documents. "Well, let's hope it all ends soon." The bartender said in response.

Suddenly, Mono crashed through the door, and rolled to Diluc's feet with a bruised forehead. He flew through the door after tripping over his cloak as he landed. Venti and Mythra ran in, and saw Mono on the floor, and looked up to see Diluc glancing down at Mono.

"Hi, we'd like a seat at your most inconspicuous table!" Venti said in a panic, with a calm smile on his face. Mythra threw Mono over her shoulder and Diluc walked and closed the door to his tavern. "Umm... the second floor has fewer customers, so you'd be less conspicuous up there..." Diluc said with a small shrug. "But aren't you a bard? Why not sit front and center?" Diluc asked, curiosity getting the best of him.
