Mono blocked and parried the blurring slashes of Kazuha's blade, only dodging when his arm grew a bit tired to switch hands.Kazuha fixed his sword at his hip, before sprinting at Mono again, a flurry of sparks flying off of Mono's spinning blade, having deflected each slice that was unseen to the naked eye.
Mono switched to the offensive and spun his sword backward, jabbing Kazuha with the base of the hilt, and tripping him over his foot.
Kazuha deliberately fell on his back and rolled back to avoid the powerful slash that followed up Mono's combo— that seemed to cut the air itself.
Kazuha backpedaled as Mono closed in, but Mono was swift on his feet, even without the wind.
Mono lunged at Kazuha for a stab, and Kazuha flipped over it and to his left, kicking Mono back.
Opting not to teleport, Mono threw his sword into particles and flipped on his hands and into the air.
He summoned it again and slashed down at Kazuha as he fell, but he dodged with a spin and swiped at him, but Mono ducked and high kicked the sword upward.
Kazuha blocked a left hook with the hilt of his blade, but was disoriented when Mono hit him in the face with his right.
Kazuha clicked his tongue and sent a kick at Mono's head, making him lean back and dodge, but he followed with a back kick to his stomach, sending him flying back with a groan.
Mono fell on his back and into a roll, but didn't stop. He turned and rolled back toward Kazuha, and amidst his confusion, he dropkicked him in retaliation.
Sliding to his feet, Mono summoned his sword as he dashed for Kazuha. Kazuha caught himself and blocked a rough slash at his torso, the power enough to parry the blade towards the stone.
Mono lunged past Kazuha as he thrust his katana upward, dodging past him. Kazuha turned to face Mono, and was surprised to find him spinning on his hand and kick him back again.
Kazuha used his sword to slow down and blocked another kick aimed at his chest, pushing his blade upward to fling Mono's foot up.
Mono let his foot fly up, and went with it, backflipping away to see Kazuha dash after his airborne figure.
Mono landed and slid back, leaning his head to the side and dodging a thrust for his face. He threw his fist forward with no momentum, and his knuckles collided with Kazuha's chest, making him jolt in shock, surprised by the power from such a short punch.
Mono ran after him again, but Kazuha slid and quickly slashed his sword with a pause.
Mono hopped up and spun over the slices, kicking Kazuha back further and near the edge of the arena.
•
Beidou was staring with widened eyes as she spectated, obviously gushing over the two strongest 'kids' she knew.
Beside her, Reona was waving a flag with Mono's face on it.
•
Kazuha weaved under a right hook, and elbowed Mono's chest.
Mono sighed and jumped back, preparing a kick straight to Kazuha's crotch with a straight face.
Kazuha tilted his head in confusion since he was a good distance away, but with a loud shout, Mono flung his foot upward.
With a boom, the arena erupted and a lash of wind pressure flew at Kazuha rapidly. He barely threw himself out of the way, and then had to watch as the debris around him uprooted and and flew upward.
