Arc 5 - 2: Best Friends

"Childe, you use a fucking bow— Hit the damn boar!" Mono shouted in annoyance.

"'The least adept!' It means I'm the worst with a bow!" Childe shouted back, continuing to miss the boar as it ran from the two. Mono groaned and watched as Beidou fended off a Mitachurl from killing the boar before them. Mono had already taken out a few boars and Hilichurls, and was waiting on Childe.

"Can you two hurry up?! He's got Pyro!" Beidou said countering a slam with a slash from her Electro infused claymore.

"Ugh! Fine!" Childe said before fucking throwing the arrow at boar, killing it. Beidou and Mono stared in silence, before looking at Childe. "What?" He asked. "Did you just throw the damn arrow?" Beidou asked leaning on her sword, even the Mitachurl stood still in disbelief. "YOU SAID KILL IT!" Childe sighed throwing his hands up in irritation.

"I mean, yeah, but throwing an arrow? You're that bad with a bow?" Mono asked gesturing to the countless arrows in the ground and trees, all ones fired from the bow. The Mitachurl began leaving and Beidou and Mono shook their heads.

The skinned boar was roasting over a fire as Mono brushed it with a Pyro potion so it cooked faster, and added more taste.

"You really know what you're doing. You'd be great aboard my ship!" Beidou praised. "Hm? Oh, not really. I'm watching something." Mono said nodding to a projection Reona was casting with her hand, orbs of light making a border around the footage of someone doing the same as Mono, with different ingredients technically.

"Hm. That's a first. How are you doing that?" Childe asked. "I don't really know. I just recall a memory and I can project it." Reona said with a shrug. Mono drank a bit of the Pyro potion and walked over to a bucket of water. He placed it in a pot near the boar and began shooting a slow stream of fire from his mouth to heat the pot.

"Another element?! Come on~! I've got to see how strong you've gotten!" Childe whined. "Not yet. I'm not at my strongest. I need to unleash the full power of my Gnosi." Mono said with a sigh. "Gnosi?" Beidou questioned. "More specifically, a Gnosis. It's what makes a Archon an Archon. The source of most of their power and status." Reona explained. "Yup. Mono foiled two of our Fatui plots and got his hands on those. We're the ones that blew up the Golden House." Childe said proudly.

"Mutual Assault." The two said with a fist bump.

"I'm not sure that's something to be proud of..." Reona and Beidou said with hands on their hip.

"Eh, Ningguang should be fine. It's back up, right?" Mono asked, taking out an Electro potion and pouring it into the pot. "Ehhhh... She's still a bit grumpy from losing the Jade Chamber and having to pay for the repairs of the Golden House." Beidou said with a shrug. "Hey, what are you making? And how are you using Pyro?" Childe asked, curious, and trying to gain more information on him.

"Trying to make what Reona called 'soda'. It's an experiment." Mono said seeing the water turn a dark purple. "Should be done soon. Can one of you put out the fire under the boar?" Mono asked. Childe did as asked and Mono took out a Cryo potion and drank a sip, only enough to spray mist from his finger, cooling the the pot of liquid instantly, a cold soda for the three. Mono flicked his finger at the boar, and it was sliced into portions for each commonly edible limb.

"You said this wasn't quality of life, but how he's cooking? I beg to differ." Childe said to Reona.

"Huh? This is my food. I was wondering why you guys hadn't started." Mono said pointing to two other boars in the sand, fur still intact. Beidou and Childe glared at Mono and he smiled smugly.
