A day later, the five met back up at Dawn Winery. As Mono and Mythra approached Dawn Winery, Diluc, Jean, and Venti, were already conversing."The Abyss Order... Enemies of the human race. Even the underground networks rarely come across any information on them. Lucky for us, my contact is... close with them. She managed to dig up a few clues." Diluc informed. "Really? That quickly? You really are well connected, Master Diluc." Venti praised.
"We have tracked the Abyss Mage to the vicinity of the winery." Diluc informed. "I cannot stress enough how important it is to not let it escape." Jean said making everyone nod.
"I'm on it." Mono said with a determined glare. He flew up into the air and began to survey the land around the winery, the forest trees spread out enough to get a good look of the land. His eyes began farting around, tuning out everything that didn't involve the elements. He soon saw a trail, near a large lake behind the winery. It was a sinister purple, and trailed to a path to the side of the lake. Mono teleported back down, and stumbled a bit.
"It's heading to a pathway near the lake behind the winery." Mono said quickly. "Let's make haste." Diluc said, but Mono grabbed his hand. "I've got this." He said with a glare. Mono teleported away, and to the location he had spotted, before anyone could say anything.

Mono appeared above the Cryo Abyss Mage and stomped it to the ground. It shrieked in pain and surprise, and Mono gave it no time to defend itself before teleporting back to the others, grabbing them, and then back to the Abyss Mage, who was still on the ground in pain.
"Woah. That's insanely fast." Mythra said seeing Mono keeping one foot on the Abyss Mage's back. He stepped of, and punted him into the lake before wiping his hands with a frown.
"Something just happened." Venti announced. "As soon as we arrived, the connection between me and Dvalin has come back to me... I know where he is." Venti started. "Do you know of Stormterror's Lair?" Venti asked. "I've heard about it." Mythra answered. "Of course. I believe the people of Mondstadt all know of it. After Dvalin woke up, he took the ancient ruins as his lair. As it was with the storms that previously cut Mondstadt off from the outside world, the entrance to the ruins is also sealed by a special barrier. But now, as the weird energy dispersed from the Abyss Mage, I was able to read the rhythmic flow of how the barrier's magic was woven." Venti explained. "I must admit, it sounds even more horrendous than a chorus of hilichurls, but... It should be enough to let us break through the storm barrier and reach Stormterror's Lair." Venti added with a smile.
"Which means we're going to confront Dvalin? I'm fine with that... Jean is the one who wants to avoid any direct confrontation." Diluc mentioned. "No. When there are no other options left, it is my responsibility to alter our course of action. If slaying him is our only choice, I will gladly become the knight that leads the charge." Jean said with depressed, yet stern tone.
"F-Fortunately, we have yet to need to go that far." Venti said with a nervous smile. "Hmm?" Diluc hummed in curiosity. "I mean, that the Holy Lyre is not our trump card. Our real trump card is Mono of course." Venti said with a proud smirk. "Him?" They all asked. "Me?" Mono asked as well.
"Is it because I purified the Teardrop Crystals?" Mono asked. "Correct. But you have a much more precious forte. The impurities in the tears, and the curse that binds Dvalin belong to the the same maleficent power. Which means..." Venti said trailing off, knowing the others got the gist.
"The hell is wrong with you?! You want him to purify all that poison?! You think he can do that without getting killed first?!" Mythra asked in anger. "..." Mono kept quiet, thinking about their options. "I agree. That's probably the most dangerous thing we can do." Jean said with a frown. "There's no way this is our last means of not taking Dvalin's life..." Diluc said worryingly.
