Chapter Sixteen - Drunk Cousin

Sunday, 19th July 2020

KRYSTALLIA

So no one died last night.

Cain and Sam were able to get the Lynns out just before Kris came out to check. I did hear gunshots though...

But no one got hurt. Kris just fired his gun as a warning to Cain, Sam, and Zach. Poor Sam, he didn't have a crazy ex but he was roped into it. Maybe it's because he's my best friend, and also because he poured Japanese whiskey all over the foyer floor.

I was having my breakfast when the doorbell went off. Kris sighed in frustration, "Who the fuck is that? Someone go get the door."

A maid quickly moved to open the door. Zach looked up from his plate to glance at me. He gave me a 'what's up with Kris' look and I just shrugged.

Kris didn't start his morning happily.

I placed a hand on his shoulder and he relaxed a little. He gave me a small smile and returned to eating. I cut a piece of the bacon and was about to put it in my mouth when-

"WHERE ARE MY BABIES?"

I blinked and looked at the twins. They sighed before getting up, leaving their breakfast. Kris placed his hands on my sides and lifted me from my seat, putting me on my feet.

"Stay here," Kris ordered Zach and he nodded. Kris, KT, and I went to the foyer and-

"MY BABY PRINCESS, C'MERE!"

I flinched at his shouting but went to hug him anyway. He placed the bottle in his hands on the table and wrapped his arms around me. I felt him place a small kiss on my temple, "I missed you."

"Missed you too, Blakey."

He put me back on my feet before taking his beer and drinking the last of it. He handed the empty bottle to the maid, "Deal with this, will you beautiful?"

He winked at her and she blushed before walking away. He patted Kris on his back, "So how're things going, lil' cuz?"

Kris pushed his hand off, "I'm 27, you're 29, and things are fine."

"Not to me, you're not. I still remember when you were a little eight-year-old, all trying to be tough bu-"

"Alright, that's enough, Blake. You've had too much to drink," Kris punched his shoulder and Blake laughed it off, "Cuz, I can shoot straighter than Ezrick Powell even when I'm completely hammered."

I rolled my eyes and held his arm, "Have you eaten breakfast yet, Blake?"

He wrapped an arm around my shoulder, crushing me into his side, "If you count four bottles of beer as breakfast then yes."

KT chuckled, "Well, we're having breakfast and you can join us if you feel like it."

Blake followed us into the dining room, limping slightly from a wound that caused him to limp permanently, and saw Zach sitting there.

"Woah, when did y'all have new blood?"

"Blake, he's my boyfriend Zachary Kingston. Zach, this is my cousin, Blake Estrada."

Blake's my dad's younger brother's only child if you were wondering. And yes, my uncle Jason is still alive and well. Uncle Jason and his wife Aunt Rose had Blake really young but they still turned out fine.

Zach got up and shook Blake's outstretched hand. Of course, being drunk Blake, he wiped his hands on his shirt, "I don't wanna know what he's touched with that hand."
