KRYSTALLIA
"Harley, do you copy?"
"Yes, I do. We're in the south wing."
"We need backup in the east."
"Roger that."
I stopped walking and spoke, "Charlie's asking for backup. East wing."
They turned around and looked at me. Sin stepped in front and gave me a smirk, "Well, let's go show them who they're messing with."
I gave him an identical smirk before running towards the east wing of the base.
I know you're confused so let me explain.
An enemy gang had shot a few of our members dead and we're repaying them by destroying their base and killing the boss.
Okay, recap's over. We're here.
Running into the big hall where blood was spilled left and right. Without hesitation, we ran into the fight, shooting the enemy dead within seconds. Deadshot was over there shooting headshots like he was eating an afternoon chocolate chip cookie.
That's how his alias came to him. Perfect aim, just like Deadshot.
The enemy kept coming. When we thought we had cleaned through, more came barrelling in. We were outnumbered and fucked. All of us were pinned under the people and they planned to torture us in their underground dungeons.
Fucking werewolf lovers.
My rifle was kicked out of my hold and all I had was a knife that was in my holster. My pistol ran out of ammo and I wasn't about to reload in front of them.
Everything was hectic.
Until it wasn't.
We heard an explosion and smoke filled the room, catching everyone off-guard. Someone thought it was smart to throw a grenade into a hall with mixed company.
But before I could complain any further about the dumbass, bullets started firing everywhere and we used the now dead bodies as human shields, trying not to die.
But the bullets stopped firing and I took the guy's gun, pointing at the attacker before cautiously pushing the body off me.
Smoke still resided and I exchanged glances with Sin and Lawless when we heard footsteps coming through the grey fog.
"Bravo to the rescue."
My eyes met a pair of lifeless ones before the body dropped and my lips twitched upwards.
"There you are," I said with a hint of humor and he smirked before walking towards me. He planted a kiss on my temple, "I seriously thought you were dead when you weren't answering my calls."
"You were fifty meters away and we were attacked. What do you think?"
He laughed before pecking my lips, "That's my girl."
I punched his pec and went to take my rifle. Picking it up, our teams in the hall started making our way through the building, trying to find that son of a bitch.
The whole time, my boyfriend was walking beside me, seemingly relaxed even with everything.
"You seem calm, Zach."
"Hey," Sin warned and I rolled my eyes, "You seem calm, Clown Prince."
CP shrugged, "I guess after the first time, I'm starting to get used to it."
I looked at him and patted his arm softly, "I promise, it'll get easier."
He gave me a lopsided smile and I returned it. Soon, we stopped by a metal door.
"What's with gang leaders and hiding behind these doors?" Deadshot asked and added, "Except you three, of course."
"They think they're safe behind metal. That's a sign we're faced with idiots," I explained and CP knelt down before pulling out a device to break the lock. He unlocked the code and the door opened. Easy as that.
I pushed the door open with the muzzle of my rifle and there he was. Man-with-a-name-that's-not-important.
We stepped closer, our guns trained on him as he took small steps back until he hit the table, blocking him from going anywhere further.
"Please, I'll do anything. Just let me go. I have a wife and children," he pleaded and I decided to tease him a little. I raised a hand, signaling for them to stand on guard before walking behind the desk, my gun still trained on him.
Taking a look at the desk filled with papers, I picked up a family portrait and stared at the people smiling for the camera. The children looked so young and I noticed the year this was taken.
25th December 2019
Christmas last year. The kids are still young. I was seriously debating on killing him or letting him go.
No child should endure the pain of losing their father.
I placed the frame back on the table and pointed my gun at the back of his head. My finger curled and started to press on the trigger.
"Tell us where your family is," I said and he shook his head, "Don't harm them."
"I will if you don't cooperate."
He hesitated before answering, "Safe room back at my base. Please don't harm them."
"I won't. I'll harm you though."
I said and pushed my gun down to aim for his thigh and pulled the trigger. He let out a painful scream and fell to the ground. I looked at Sin and Lawless and they nodded.
Lawless called for everyone to head back to base as we walked out of the room, leaving the man alone with a bullet wound. CP walked beside me and whispered, "You good?"
I nodded and smiled, "Yeah."
I think.
