People started surrounding and aiming their guns at us. We were completely outnumbered.
"This round of hide-and-seek is sadly over, but the next round is starting...right now!"
We heard a fit of hysterical laughter before she announced.
"Are you rea...
I glanced around the amusement park as I let Diamond lead me wherever we're going. She, Cain, and a guy named Tanner were talking as they picked another ride to go on.
Her hand was perfectly encased in mine as we walked through the crowded park, seven bodyguards around us. I softly rubbed my thumb on the back of her hand to calm myself down.
"How about that big rollercoaster over there?" Cain pointed to a rollercoaster not far from where we were. Diamond nodded with a smile and looked at me. She asked me if I wanted to go and I just smiled at her. She then squeezed my hand lightly before tugging me towards the ride.

After the ride, we went to get a snack at a café there. Cain said he wanted to go to the bathroom but...
...he hasn't come back in fifteen minutes and the bathroom is like two feet away.
"Okay, Tyson. Go find him, please," Diamond ordered and Tyson nodded, walking away. She pulled out her phone and pressed on an app before furiously typing. I leaned in and took a peek to see her tracking him.
"How're we...?" I asked and she replied, not looking up from the screen, "There's a bracelet every employee wears. One of the beads has a tracking chip in it."
I nodded and looked at the screen. It kept coming up with nothing and she was refreshing every time. That's when I received a text. I pulled out my phone and checked it.
Unknown Number Looks like waiter boy has gone missing. Let's start this game of hide and seek, shall we?
"Diamond," I called out, tearing my gaze from the message. She looked at me and I showed her the text. I saw every color in her face drain as she read it.
"Fuck," that was all she could mutter before Tyson came back with a concerned face on, "There's not a trace of him, it's like he's never been there."
"But didn't we see him walk in?" Tanner mentioned and Diamond nodded, "We did, someone must've cleaned every inch so we can't trace him whatsoever."
She put her phone away and got up, throwing orders, "Damien, Elijah, Isaac, Stephen, four of you check this whole place thoroughly. Tyson, Carter, Marc, you three will be with us."
"Yes, miss."
The four went and started a whole check on the park while six of us head towards the car. Tanner sat in the front passenger's seat so he couldn't hear what we were talking about and the rest of us got in the back. When the door closed, Dylan started driving.
"Where to, miss?" he asked and she replied while taking out her phone again, "Home."
Dylan nodded before closing the divider between the front and the back. She dialed a number and put the phone to her ear. It was silent until the recipient accepted the call.
"Kris, we've got a problem," she said into the phone and put the call on speaker for us to listen.
"What's wrong?"
"Cain's gone missing."
"Howards the ginger waiter?"
She rolled her eyes at his response, "Yeah."
"Where was he last seen?"
We could hear some shuffling and a door opening on the other side of the line.
"Bean Bag Café in Angel Land Amusement Park. He went into the bathroom and never came out."
We heard the rustling of papers, fingers tapping a holopad repeatedly, and Kris cursing under his breath. Then a ding was heard from the other side and another tap before Kris said something, "Okay, I'm in the camera in the bathroom. What time did he walk in?"
"Around three forty-five," Diamond said, looking at her watch. Another few more clicks, then he spoke again, "He's coming in...goes into the third stall from the door...then comes out moments later...washes his hands...then someone comes out from the second stall and drugged him. Drugged him?"
It must've been quite a surprise attack to even shock Kris in the slightest. Diamond bit her lip worriedly, "Can you see who it was?"
"No, they're wearing a balaclava and a hoodie," Kris said apologetically. Her lips trembled a little before she said, "How did the person get out with Cain without using the door?"
We heard more taps before Kris spoke, "The last stall's toilet is removable. They went out that way. The people must've thought of a way out before doing this."
She asked, "Can you check the back? Maybe we could pinpoint where they went from there."
Kris hummed, tapping on the holopad before sighing, "They took out the camera footage."
She mumbled under her breath, "What're we going to do...?"
I rubbed her back comfortingly, wanting to take her unease away. She then spoke into the phone, "We're coming home now."
"Okay, I'll see if I can get the deleted footage from the backup system."
She hung up and sighed, leaning back into the seat cushion. I removed my hand from her back and placed it on her thigh, gently squeezing it in reassurance.
I wanted to tell her that he'll be fine. But we all know that's never the case in the gang world.
It's just words of denial.
