An another day
Basketball game:"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the game!" The announcer shouts.
"Come on Widow! Gigi is waiting for us!" Jessica screams over the crowd.
We quickly sit and wait for the game to start. I see our school team getting ready. Coach Flores is giving a pep talk to the team. I see Paul and Garrett with their black uniforms.
"Hey Gigi this is Widow, my best friend," Jessica says. She intruduces me to Gigi. She is a junior with black and red highlights. She smiles and says hi.
Paul spots me and waves. I wave back. He looks pretty cute in his uniform as well as Garret.
"Buzz!" the game starts.
The game started to get good even I began to cheer. Gigi and Jessica started to copy the cheerleaders dance moves. Paul scored 12 points enough to catch up to the other team.
"Okay we reach the halftime of the game. Buy more popcorn, kiss your girl, go pee we have 15 minutes of rest," the announcer says.
"Hey Widow can you take care of our spot? Gigi and me are gonna go pee," Jessica says.
I just nod. I keep eating the rest of the nachos when I feel a warm touch on my cheek.
I smile, "Jackson."
To my surprise it isn't him.
He is standing there with a question mark on his forehead.
"I thought we agreed that my name is James."
I don't know what to do or say. I feel my cheeks burning up like crazy.
I just nod.
"Is Jackson playing?" James asks as he is sitting.
I say no.
"Widow, does it bother you that I'm here?"
"no of course not."
"Then? Why are you so quiet? I thought you be happy to see me."
"I am! Really I am it just very surprising. I'm glad you're here."
He smiles and kisses me.
His lips feel so warm against mine. I start to kiss him back and I can feel a smile on James's lips.
"That's my girl." he pulls away.
I see Jessica and Gigi coming our way.
"Teddy bear!!" Jessica runs to James and hugs him. He starts to chuckle, "hello my Goldilocks."
"This is so cool! All my friends together. Gigi this is the famous James." Gigi smiles as well as James.
They sit down: James on my right, Jessica on my left and Gigi on the top bleacher behind me.
I see Paul with the rest of the team running to the center of the court. James smiles, he tells me he remembers Paul.
"defense! Defense!" the crowd gets crazy.
20 minutes into the game and we are loosing. The score is 88-67, one of our players got injured and our mascot slips.
"Come on! You're playing like little girls!" a man screams from behind.
Garret hears that and flips the bird. The referee gets mad and warns him. I see that everyone including Paul is loosing their cool.
"Come guys, I know you can play better than this." I hear James whisper. I guess he really misses playing basketball.
