James leaves before Joe gets home. I take a quick shower and eat some cereal.
Joe comes home with a huge smile and says good morning to me.
"How are you?" he asks me.
"good and I guess you are super good today."
He nods, "I ask Brianna to marry me."
I spit out the cereal and leave my mouth open. "What?!"
"eew," joe whispers.
I stand and shake him, "what?"
"I ask her to marry me!"
Did she say yes? Is that why he has this goofy face on?
"She said no,"
"so?" I ask.
"but she didn't say yes either. She told me she will think about it."
I get a relief but something doesn't feel right about the proposal.
Joe walks out to his room and doesn't ask for my opinion.
Anyways, I clean up the cereal mess and go sit on the couch. I take in what James and I did last night. Did i just have sex with him? I did but I don't feel any regrets towards what I did. Is that bad?
I cant talk to Jessica anymore since she has been sleeping around with Jackson and I have lost most of the trust I had in her. I wish I had my mom around. She wont be happy of my circumstances but I know she wont leave me alone.
It's Saturday and I think I can go visit Rachel. I think I can trust her again and we can be friends like we used to. I look for her number on my phone and find it.
"hello?" I ask.
"hello, this is Rachel speaking, who is this?" she asks.
"heh, it's me Widow."
"oh hey! what up?"
"nothing, I just need someone to talk for a bit. I was wondering if I can go to your house so we can hang out."
"sure. I am here."
"thanks, I'll be there in a bit. bye."
I hang up and change shirt. I go with a light brown sweater and put my hair in a ponytail. I yell at Joe that I'm leaving. He doesn't question where but that I should be home by seven.
I take the bus to Rachel's house. She still lives in the light pink, three floors house. I knock on the door and I see her nana, Lola, by the door.
"oh my! is it you?" she asks happily.
I nod. "you remember me?"
"Of course, you are Widow. You used to come everyday to play with Rachel in middle school. Come in! come in."
I go in and see that her house is still the same. All white walls, fancy furniture with a color scheme of black, white, and brown.
"I go get Rachel," Lola says.
I wait in the middle of the house. To my right, I see the living room and to my left there's an entrance to the kitchen.
"hey," I see Rachel coming down the stairs. She is wearing jeans, a white shirt and long leather black boots with her hair in curls.
"Hey," I smile.
"So where you want to talk?" Rachel asks.
"how about in the living room?"
"Sure," she smiles. She takes my hand and we walk to the living room. I sit on the black leather sofa and she sits next to me.
"you want something to drink or eat?"
