Third Person's POV
Meanwhile, on the other side, Sunoo is staring at Jake.
'Sunghoon hyung is so lucky to have you as his mate. But the danger that you'll get is going to be a lot bigger than us vampires. I'm going to protect you hyung.'
"Sunoo? You're spacing out?"
He went back to reality. He smiled to Jake.
"Hyung can I ask you a question?"
Jake looked at him. Fixing his apron as he went to the counter, preparing the things for his work.
He is working as a barista in the coffee shop his aunt owns. He uses his salary for living. Though he have his savings and the whole shares from his parents, he still wanted to deal things on his own.
Especially that he's already nineteen. He don't want to be a burden. He wanted to help. And he wanted to earn on his own.
"Sure what is it?"
"What if vampires do exist? What are you going to do?"
Jake stopped. He had almost forgot about his research about them. He looked at Sunoo.
'Of course they exist. I saw one 7 years ago and they killed my parents.'
He wanted to say it. He wanted Sunoo to know. But he can't. He just can't get the courage to do so.
Sunghoon felt it. He looked at Jake.
'What are you talking about that I can feel your pain again?'
"𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐨. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐤𝐞?"
Sunoo was surprised. He took a glance to Sunghoon and Ni-Ki. Then went back to look at Jake.
"If they exist? Then they can answer my questions. They 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 to answer 𝘮𝘺 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴."
Sunoo stared at him, taken a back. Sunghoon can't calm down in his chair. Ni-Ki looked at him.
"Is everything okay hyung?"
"I can feel him. He's angry. He's hurt. What is Sunoo even talking about?!"
"Hyung I think it's better if we give them time."
"Ni-Ki. This is MY mate that we are talking about. I can feel him. And I don't even know why is he like that."
"Hyung. You know that they've been doing a research about vampires right? I think Sunoo hyungie is just preparing Jake hyung."
Sunghoon stopped. He sat back as he stated at them nervously, not minding to add any comment anymore.
"What questions hyung?"
Sunoo asked Jake. He can feel the atmosphere change.
He has always been curious about vampires. But he never told the younger why. Sunoo is helping him because he thought it was just a normal curiosity from a human. But after hearing his answer to his question, he thought of another thing.
